It really depends on the board that was modded and how cool of a person the seller is and how many other mods have been made, more for a plate mounted for sure though. You could also do the whole thing yourself, but that could wind up costing around the same after equipment and materials cost. Anywhere between $80-200 for a non total custom board I would say is reasonable.

Yeah, got to consider if it is lubed, gold springs, stickered, what plate, with or without keys etc.

I paid $120 which I consider to be a fair price. It would have cost me a bit more if I had bought a QFR + clear switches + soldering equipment + time. I really like the board -- definitely my favorite.

I called up my former orthodontist and asked if he had some extra ortho bands.  After explaining what I would be using them for, he agreed to send me some. :D

Most of them are expired from 2011 and 2012 but I do have a bag expiring in June 2013.

'excited to give these a try as dampeners!  Now where's my key puller...

Done installing.  I must admit doing it while watching TV proved to be fairly distracting.

Anyway, I installed these on my Shine II with browns.  So far I've noticed that it sound is different.  It's like typing carefully to avoid bottoming out.  I haven't spent enough time typing on the keyboard to notice any other differences yet.

Now I wonder what real o-rings are like...

Nice little keyboard. Completely hate the backspace key.  (Also could make the \ a backspace HHKB style, but I hate that too.)  I wish I could map the left Fn key to be the backspace... that would be awesome.

Anyway, soon to be sold.

Today my very first mechanical keyboard arrived, a Ducky DK9008G2 Pro, with MX-Blues. There's no need really to say much more but oh my god that sound, that feel, that beautiful keyboard *.* I'm literally making excuses to type now, I've already done hello worlds in 3 new languages just for the sake of typing out the code. And then I made the mistake of registering here and reading about keycaps and other goodness. There goes my wallet. :))
