They were selling the red esc for $5, so these sets are too bad I guess

No, not exactly.  The GMK blue looks much better to me.  Not just lighter, but a bit more vibrant.  I wish SP had this blue... all of the blues on their color chain look dull to me.

On the other hand, I LOVE the green.  It's the same green as the green esc that Ivan did in his group buy.  Now I really want a full mod set of those.

I haven't received my yellow one yet but when I do I can try to take an accurate picture of it if the weather gets better. Unfortunately, I do not own the CMYK set but I can try to replicate the color as close as possible in the photo.

These aren't to difficult to mod.  Just don't take the thumb attachment apart as there is a very tiny ball bearing that it slides on.  And if you want to change the LED's it is in the 3.25 volt range at full brightness.

Truly Ergonomic arrived today, going to give it a week to see if I can get used to the layout but I'm liking it so far. Sorry for the potato shot.

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Well, apparently today is a "holiday", and I have to stay home and "enjoy my family".  So I can't go in to my office where I have cameras, computers, my keycap collection, soldering and other electrical equipment.  Fun stuff like that.  Instead I have three grumpy sons who are spending the morning fighting.

But I also have some of the loot from yesterday's mail delivery!  From Mouser I got a bunch of LEDs, resistors and switches to make some custom lighting for my wife's new custom-windowed PC.  Red, green and blue with perf board, too!  So I will be able to make an RGB lighting system for her PC.  (Experimentation for the GH75 v.2.)

But more important was the package from Techkeys!

I was expecting (and got) a new Poker II with Browns along with a couple of stepped Caps Lock keycaps.  But i3oilermaker screwed my order up!

He also added a blank black spacebar, RBG mods and shift 'caps, and a set of Gent 'caps!  I didn't order or pay for those things, so WHY DID HE MESS UP AND SEND THEM?  (Thanks very much, BTW.  Everyone should buy their Poker II from Techkeys!)

So the Poker II...

Much nicer than the Poker X.  The plate adds a much better feel to the whole thing.  I am not crazy about the OEM keycaps, but they are helpful while I learn the new Fn layer.  Alphas feel good; crisp and solid.  The spacebar absolutely needs a stiffer spring, so I'll mod that or drop in a tactile Gray.

This keyboard is fully programmable, and even came with a "manual" that (if accurate) explains clearly how to program both the normal layer and the Fn-layer.  Apparently every key can hold up to 14 characters, including pauses.  The only keys that can't be programmed are the Fn and Pn keys.  The latter is irritating, because the Pn key is only used to end programming sequences.  The rest of the time it just takes up space.  I might solve that with solder and a microswitch.  ;^)

The Fn-layer as shipped is slightly different from the Poker X, so that will require some re-learning or re-mapping.  The mapping is slightly better IMO, so I might learn it instead.

All-in-all, I am quite pleased with the Poker II and especially that I bought it from Techkeys.

Now I have to decide what keycaps to add to it.  A Bumblebee Brobot might complement the RGB keycaps nicely.

That and photos will happen when I can go back to my playground work.  I'll post the photos in the Post Your Poker thread.

The Pn key is used to invoke your programmed keys so it definitely has it's use.

The TE is solid and I liked most of the layout so much that I kept some of its unconventional locations when I mapped my ErgoDox.

The EM is my favorite trackball but I couldn't use it with the pad. Even the positive slope was ill conceived in my opinion. After fitting into a tray to change the slope and tilt it helped many of my wrist issues. Hope it works for you.

The slope was definitely one of  the first things I noticed. Immediately threw some plastic bumps on to the bottom to raise the angle, after I took it apart to lube the scroll wheel first. It struck me later that I'd just taken apart a brand new mouse on the first day I got it. Not exactly normal behavior, you know, elsewhere on the internet.

Oh, GH, what have you done to me.

Yeah I'm trying to get used to it but I'm not sure it's going to work out in the long run. I'll just start getting used to it at work and then I go home and do some coding on my Quickfire TK and I'm all over the place. Probably chuck it up on the Classifieds when I'm past the post limit to see if anyone wants to swap for it.

I have 50 Pink LEDs coming. I ordered them for my KMAC but the smallest order I could get was 50. Thinking of putting Ghetto Greens or modding the Blues to 65g in the Orbweaver then changing the Green LEDs to Pink. Oh and I want to make the cable detachable. Melvang, be prepared for the massive barrage of PMs as I fumble to open the pad up. And Missalaire wants me to mod hers too >.<

Nice.  How do you like it?  I've still got to see how I can try and mod the Filco tenkey pad into a game pad like that.

I've only played with it for a few days. The non-staggered layout is blowing my mind. Last night I tried to throw grenades in Borderlands 2 but I couldn't find the stupid button I had mapped as G. But overall, it's a lot of fun and I'm sure I'll be modding it/finding novel uses for it. I'm excited to see what you turn that Filco Pad into.

I bought the orbweavers because of the serious price reduction.  They only did this because of overstock and all of the "stealth" models that came out around that time.

The older MX blue versions has no difference in feature/function, so it was a steal to get them for roughly $70 a piece.

When I got mine I fell in love with the non-staggered layout and key-binding/macro interface.  It is a wonderful little device, and I wish more people made things like this.  Quality may be questionable.  I don't really worry about it because Razer actually has a decent return/warranty, and newegg always treats me well.

I would have returned the rest if I didn't like the one that I opened, but because I loved it so much I had to share this with a few people.  CPTBadAss writes a fair deal of reviews and enjoys it, so I figured he would get a lot from this guy.

Anyway... my intention for this post is to tell folks that if you see this on sale again it is definitely worth about $70  I wish they had a right handed version so I could program a ghetto split keyboard.

A lil' birthday present to myself:

GMK DS mods from EK (the colors are pretty close to what they actually look like but the picture is ever so slightly brighter but very close), and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen:

Hehehe~ I'm glad to have been persuaded :) Yeah chose them to match the Keys of Doom but if only they had Black legends, then it would have been perfect! Oh well. Now I just need a Green Clack for an Esc key to finish the balance :9
