missing mint green wasd :p

I've got it.. but it looks better without it ;) Using the W on the Del key.

So what did you have to do to get that spacebar? The entire finished product looks great.

That looks so clean! I love it.

Like Dan, I would also like to know what you did with the spacebar.

Thanks dudes! Was an ordeal.. I tell ya..

I bought a couple of extra spacebars to play around with. Had to harvest a couple of stems from other caps, then slowly and carfully file down the rough side to fit the spacebar nicely, and sit flush with the middle stem. These spacebars have a plastic rib that runs the entire length, so cut a line in the 2 stems to sit neatly on this rib. Positioned them correctly then epoxy'd them in place.

Had a failed attempt the first time, the stems weren't quite flush and a touch off centre - so the spacebar would stick down when pressed :\

Worth it though!

That looks awesome! I do personally think it'd be a bit more balanced with the WASD on there though. Can we see a picture with the WASD? :3

But it becomes unsymmetrical! ;P

Finally finished this project! That spacebar was a serious mission (damn you Leopold..) but the result is better than I could've imagined.

is candycorn an american thing?  or euro?  I've never seen those in vancouver before.

Like moose said, it's a Halloween thing, and it's Halloween season. I have bags and bags of candycorn in my house..

Too bad these are impossible to get in germany. Wanted to buy some for my gf, and cheapest I found was 12$ shipped from uk for a little bag... :(
Wait they have them here? :3 Now i have to go find some :'(
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)
