Took a few pictures of my Phantom, but I just remembered I never got around to posting them.
Here's how it looks at the moment (or well, I changed the Esc key for a red one about two weeks ago, but whatever), sorry for the semi-crappy photo:
And a better picture:
Rollen!
A couple of pictures
(pictures I'm a little too happy with :> - too bad puu.sh manhandles them and I'm on the world's worst Internet connection :<) of the original dress-up, which in my opinion actually looks better. Too lazy to swap the keycaps though.
Realized it looks kind of nice from behind too:
Really happy with the build, and since I built it I haven't used another keyboard (except for the Filco at work and the rubberdomes on my laptop).
Semi-interesting technical/switch details: at first I only used Greys on the entire keyboard (mostly to test them out), but since my fingers didn't really like it a lot I decided to go with Ergo-Clears instead, which had been my original intention. After having modded a few switches, I noticed they felt a lot lighter and "stickier" than the ones I had on my old (PCB mounted) Poker, and decided to go with Clears instead, which turned out to be the right choice. Feels great now! Also went with Greys for the F-row on a whim, turns out it works well for me.
