How does the lube feel on them? I accidentally used thick lube on my blacks, not knowing which type it was, so they are a bit sluggish and felt weird at first, but I seem to have evened the lube out over typing on it, and I also got used to it.

Isn't there a way to clean the lube if you've done a mistake? I think there is but I guess it might be very time consuming.

I like my blacks about equal to topre, I like the linear since there isn't the small bump at first, but Topre also feels amazing

The fact that you have used tactile switches for most character-generating keys and linear switches for the rest shows that a lot of thought went into the design of your keyboard.

I appreciate that.

But why not on Backslash? Maybe you have a plan for this one (like turning it into a Backspace)?

It's a standard poker layout, for now.  I was a bit conflicted about the backslash key.  I figured I'd just try the ghost black to see how I liked it.  If it turns out I don't, I still have a few lubed and sip-socketed ergo clears left that I can quickly swap it with.  :p

Nothing that fancy, but the plate does have notches for switch top removal if I'm feeling too lazy to desolder the switch altogether.

Guys I did it! Yesterday I sat down to get my Poker II fixed. I've never soldered or desoldered anything before, so I went to check out some YouTube videos and GH threads first. Besides I received a lot of help and support (and the stem that I changed) from a german mechanical keyboard community on computerbase, which is a general computer/tech community (on which some keyboard enthusiasts have gathered).

As I have already posted my keyboard came with 2 broken caps and one broken stem. The seller has agreed to ship me those but I figured that I wanted to go straight for repairing the switch at least as it looked terrible and made my heart bleed. The only thing I really had to do was to desolder the LED and switch (although I guess I could have opened it without desoldering it?) and change the broken stem.

It's a black stem, but I don't mind :D

Anyway, here are some pictures:

Good job! I remember talking with you on a thread about your problem. How was that first soldering operation, even though it was a little one?

It was doable, tricky but doable. The hardest part was to desolder the LED but I'm kind of glad that my keyboard came broken. After fixing it it really feels like my board and besides I've gained some basic soldering skills, which means I'll be able to fix and mod my boards in the future.  :)

Dat green glow.  That Toxic row almost looks like trans caps with solid tops.

What V2 is that?  Is it one of the Toxic bros?  Toxic Sludge, was it?

90 pages? People really love their pokers eh? What is it about them? The size? Programmability? The keycaps?

yes, all of those points.  plus they come with leds (or you can add your own), and they use the standard ansi layout so you can swap keycaps easily.  they're really fun boards to have.

To me it's easy to customize. You have a lot choices for cases (from alu to acrylic).
The standard layout ensures you have opportunity to get all the keysets available.
Plus the chance to solder your own LED.

TL;DR, customization and cheap.  :thumb:

Edit: exactly what naasfu pointed above.

Nice! The red space looks surprisingly good. Red alucase would look good in this.
