I'm interested, but it depends on the location.  Being that some of us here at GH are underage, a bar might not be the best place... at least not until I get my fake ID.     :))

As for what I have to bring to such a gathering, I really don't have anything too special... I guess I could just bring a bunch of my TKL boards.  Either way, I could bring my camera and be the designated photographer!  :D

MMMMM BURGERS!!!! But yeah, anywhere that is easy to find will work for me.  I'd be driving from CT, and I'm not at all familiar with NYC... but then I guess that's what GPS is for, isn't it?

Maybe it might be worth while to have the meetup somewhere that has parking. This means the city is out of the question.

I would be down, but it also depends on the location, if it would be a weekday, I'd be coming from work (in the city) and would prefer to stay in the city as I need to commute back to NJ. If it is the weekend, I'd most likely have to drive out.

October is good, and if we can get some FIRM dates, I can likely make it barring it's on a weekend.

I won't be bringing any keyboards, but looking forward to meeting you all =)

Also, bar is a bad place to meet.  Liquid around keyboards could lead to disaster!

I'd love to come but it depends on the location and how bad my back pain is that particular day (how far of a drive or train ride my pain would allow). Would be coming up from the Philly area.

Let's do a meet-up in the beautiful, picturesque Meadowlands!  ;)

I'd be willing to show up -- just to try out non-buckling spring keyboards. Will bring both my Model M's.

I can do NYC after 4 PM weekday, but weekend would be easier. I don't recommend NYC -- it's so chaotic. Palisades Mall has a Dave & Busters that might work, but I don't know if that's too far a hike for some.

Most likely will be on the weekend. Going to take the city off the list.

Maybe a Starbucks in brooklyn...I like me some lemon pound cake.

DO NOT go into the city on the weekend, they have that stupid walking initiative where they close off streets and let ppl walk, wtf, what are the sidewalks for? just don't go into the city, you'll never be able to get out if you try to take the holland.

Meet somewhere in brooklyn. if you want the "trendy" places try the williamsburg area (near the williamsburg bridge) i just took my bridal party there for a nice japanese dinner.

do you guys need a place to meet up, indoors? if not you could always meet up in prospect park, they always have those stone tables ppl use for chess, my nephew says coney island has cleaned up a bit since the rides were closed down, so you can try that (just stay away from the big apartment buildings, which are the projects).

the weather is gonna turn cooler/colder rainier tho so i guess indoors is good, a food court? i really don't know of a food court in bklyn aside from the bklyn mall and that mall isn't really accessible (by bus only).

I'm thinking brooklyn at a coffee shop. I know a nice and big coffee shop borderline Brooklyn/Queens. Parking shouldn't be an issue.

Brooklyn would be good. I'll try to think of some potential venues.

Just an idea: http://www.nycresistor.com/

It's a kind of hackerspace workshop -- figured some of them might be interested the boards themselves. I shot out an email to them to see if they would even consider it.

I might be down, depending on the time/day (my current schedule has me working tues-sat evenings with random tuesday or wednesday afternoons thrown in).  I wouldn't have anything particularly special to bring to the meetup though (M$ Ergonomic 4000 v1.0, Filco TKL w/blacks + o-rings, Keycool mini84 w/blacks + o-rings - funny how the M$ seems to have a harder keypress).

14th is okay as long as I can be near a TV at 4pm.

I can bring my complicated white alps ergo (you've never felt tactile feedback and heard "ping" like that baby has), cherry my "ghetto super light reds" modded g81-1800 (can basically breath on it and register keypresses), some of my QF Rapid paintjobs, and a mess of different switch types/combos on my wood "test board" (brown stem + black spring, ergo clear, pandas, ghetto greens, ghetto red, etc).
