When I was in my account and watching the coundown timer which seemed to luckily match my computer, I saw a gentle trickle of emails coming in the seconds leading to 3:00pm. The moment the clock hit 3:00 BAM! There was an impossible amount of emails. That's right, I said impossible! lawlz. Then they just started pouring in and slowed waaay down towards the end of the first minute, (by these standards, you know, relatively speaking) and then just steadily ran in for the following ten minutes. Jogged in for the next 30 minutes or so. Now it's mostly like whack-a-mole status.

Its basically just a crapshoot.  Every clock is different. I sent the second my cellphone hit 6pm east,  probably wasn't even close.  Not to worry, half of them will be on sale next month

But I guess it was too late (6 seconds after)

Congrats to the lucky people who got in btw :)

I'm sure they will be, but I hope we don't just see a massive influx.  So many people trying to get CC legitimately for themselves, only to watch someone else get one to immediately try and turn a profit on classifieds.

Oh ho, another sale with no chance of getting a CC key cap. It's like trying to lose my virginity in highschool, it's never gonna happen until years later when someone takes pity on me and makes me pay through the nose for it. :(

LOL.  I would have happily given it away in exchange for some karma around here.  A nice key is nothing without a nice board to put it on. :)

Otherwise all the info was right where it always is, in CC's forum.

Well, it certainly is a crap shoot, as someone mentioned above. Imagine 100 or more emails flowing into and Inbox at the same time. It is nothing but luck. I made it in and he told me, somehow I was the first one he received. I can assure you there was no magic. On my end I simply clicked sent while using the GMAIL website and sitting on an open wireless connection at Panera Bread. I clicked the send at 00:00:01 (before the timer hit 0) on the atomic clock, as I am sure many other did. It's simply luck.
