Whats "weak" is the amount of hoops I have to jump through to get a sale up.

As for the time zone issue. I usually and sadly have to settle on what confuses people the least. It's counterintuitive to be sure.

With the internet and the worlds information just inches from our fingertips I still get people asking what time it is. I can say almost whatever I want
but people will still get it wrong or flood me with questions regarding it. I'm just trying to roll with it.

Im in the California/Los Angeles USA time zone.

This should be sufficient. Unfortunately when many look at time zones and time zone maps they interpret them inccorectly.

This might make it simpler: in how many hours can we start flooding your inbox with orders?

so in the thread for the sale today it says the sale is at 3PM PDT, but then it mentions UTC/GMT-7 which would be mountain time

what the hell is going on--

Ok, CF wants people schooled on timezones... GMT-7 is Mountain STANDARD which is not the current timezone in the Mountain zone, it's also Pacific DAYLIGHT, which IS the current TZ for Pacific.  When DST changes in November (or whenever the F they changed it to) then it will not be PDT it will be PST in California which will be GMT-8.

So right now... California is in PDT, PDT is GMT-7 and 3PM PDT is 10:00PM GMT/UTC

^ Just to help you... You can do a countdown like Glissant did on his auction which would alliviate confusion for everyone in regards to Daylight Savings etc. Also, to upload an image(for next sale or whenever) host the image somewhere and use [ IMG]insert link here[ /img] <--Take the spaces out, but just for future use:)

And this behavior isn't always consistent. They have hotfixes for various OSes to "fix" this behavior. So, if you have a machine that isn't completely up to date it can be even more confusing.

you would think it would offset the value in the list but I guess that would make sense and prevent confusion so clearly no one thought to do that

Hi SF, thanks for the suggestions. I really like the idea of the countdown, I must have missed it in his auction and I don't see it now. Is there a link or similar I can grab and put in a post for future releases? I did a very crude version of this early on but I like the idea of it being done in a more automatic (hands off) way.

As for the uploads, figuring it out is not the problem, though I appreciate the kind gesture. The issue is that I don't really have internet access (long story, to make it short I won't tell you). So the internet and computer that I am forced to use many times is unfortunately a restricted one. These are not situations that I can easily change at the moment.

So essentially, no, I've never bought a lotto ticket because my luck is just that bad. lol

You can generate the countdown by using the page WRXChris linked to: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/create

And then you get something like this:

For many reasons I would think. Why do we appreciate and/or covet anything?
The skulls thus far have been a bit more available than some of the other works. So I would imagine the general "draw" would be towards them.
And what can I say other than- "cool things are cool".

Ones Preferences are not the same as ones understanding and they often cloud the reasoning of the other.

Check his vendor forum! Also, iMav can we get stats of how many people log on tonight to that page/how much the site's popularity went up?

I actually don't think it will change much if at all since this will be done in emails this time.

And for those curious, one of the recurring problems was that some thought the GMT/UTC times change. I don't think this will be a problem anymore though with the countdown link available. Pheew.  =)
