Instead of letting me pay for it, he called it a Christmas present. And then he told me he got a $50k bonus at work. I think we all know who the real villain is here.

The real villain is the person who got 25% of said bonus via taxation.

First pic of the new batch :)

I'm still hanging out to see one of the Oktoberfest ones.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

How much you want to bet that part of the reason behind the delay was making the decision to produce a second run of all caps to get more people with CCs in hand?
