It seems like you're just making a bunch of excuses when you could be out shipping these gentlemen their caps!
not really.

How? He's had them in his possession for a little while and he could have taken em all to the post office and shipped em. The post office provides boxes and pens to write the address down.

Amusingly, I'm looking forward to seeing the counterhelp's faces when I bring in 200 flat rate boxes for them to have to scan in and then get to a sort facility.

tj, try stamps.com for your next group buy perhaps?  You can do a batch order all at once, and it prints one big scan code for the post office to scan when you dump them off.  It makes life MUCH easier.  (Plus, you can buy insurance via stamps.com even for international stuff that isn't offered via USPS if you want.)  They aren't perfect, but great for this kind of thing.

Looked a bit into it.  Doesn't look like I can easily import addresses from paypal and I have to pay $15/mth plus have it all charged to a credit card (instead of paypal).

Talk to me before your next one.  I wrote a script that can parse address out of paypal, for feeding right into Stamps.com software.  The $15 a month does stink though, but the prices are discounted even beyond Paypal if I recall (at least for first class, which Paypal doesn't do... if you choose to use that for something), so it pays for itself.  Note that you can get the PayPal debit card to do this too.  Look at me, I sound like a Stamps.com salesguy. Just painful to think of you doing it so manual like that. :)

Oh you and everyone else giving me compliments.

he's going to be swimming in boxes in his car

I'll make a car out of boxes.

Also, with less than 20 labels left to print, I ran out of ink.  So that looks to be all for tonight.

Thanks again for this TJ.  Just got my shipping notice and it's my old address! :(  I PM'ed you the new one a few times but it must have gotten lost in all the other messages you were getting.  Any chance these haven't gone out yet and there's time to fix?  I another sent PM with current address.  Thanks again!

Yeah, I agree with aggie, you should go with stamps.com. Get the Paypal debit card and link that to your stamps.com account. And for goodness sake, get yourself a DYMO 450 or some other thermal printer. Don't waste your toner/ink on all those labels. :D

How does a small label printer work with those giant Priority Mail labels?

(I say that while I have a Dymo 450 in a shopping cart...)

I bought those 99019 labels that are like 2" x 7" and you can print address, tracking, and postage all on that one label. It works great!

It automatically adjusts the size of the label to match the size of what you are printing it on.

When you are printing the label, you can change the print settings and tell it that you are using a label printer. You can pick from a list of common label printers. I don't have a label printer, but I have used this method to print smaller postage labels for non-standard sized boxes. I told the program I was using a 2"x7" label printer but really I just used a laserjet to print it so the label would be smaller.
I stay busy with work and family these days, but I'm still around, lurking.

For customs, it had me print on plain 8.5"x11" paper, and attach it using the 2976-E envelope (available for free from USPS.com).

I'm debating the label printer, but laser cartridges for my printer are like $70.  And if I wanted to replace the printer with one with wifi?  $100.

But either way, trip to a place that sells that stuff is on the plans for today.

I think these were rebranded units that they sanded the labels off.

Forget label printers, they are only single use.

Find an old HP Laserjet 4 on Ebay, Craigslist or local used reseller.
It's B&W and about the cheapest damn laser printer to maintain you will ever find. With a $24 (Ebay) toner equates to sub-3cent prints.  If it needs a rebuild, the kit is $12.

My 4+ was built in 1991, spent it's life in an office being used and abused, works like new after more than 1million prints. A $3 card got me network capability.  I got mine free, but they can be found quite cheap, so long as you don't get into a bidding war. Still should be able to be had for under $100.

Don't knock the old stuff, these were some of the very best laser printers ever made and are highly sought after for their reliability. You still see them in offices all over.

But with a thermal label printer, you never run out of ink while printing a batch of labels. You just buy the labels and print.

I have a decent b/w laser printer already, it's just that if I need a cartridge immediately (kinda like I did earlier as I just bought one), it hurts.

I almost got a label printer, considering I'm going to be running a few more GBs, but it's cheaper for me to keep refilled cartridges available.

You're insane. LOL
I hate having to ship one package, let alone 200, and I don't even want to discuss sorting all of those keys.

And you want to do more?
Remind me to never go into TJ's basement... I can only imagine what kind of kinks he likes. Maybe we should start calling him 50 Shades of TJ  :p

King Klaxon demands everyone, including he himself, sacrifice.

I approve of this name, though.

And really, it's not too bad at all.  Music or tv and just go.  It's time consuming, but not painful or that difficult.

It seems like you're just making a bunch of excuses when you could be out shipping these gentlemen their caps!
not really.

I kinda was being sarcastic. But you need to step it up my friend. Get loose!
How? He's had them in his possession for a little while and he could have taken em all to the post office and shipped em. The post office provides boxes and pens to write the address down.

seriously dude? are you that naive?

I *think* he's being sarcastic.

oh lol

I have access to HP P1006's for $20 if you want them. I can't get the toners though, we sold out of those.
