WTS: WASD w/browns
« on: Tue, 11 December 2012, 15:12:44 »
Stupid GH image uploaded says the post failed but still posts it without the pics...here's the fixed info:

This HHKB Pro 2 is absolutely mint. Comes with the original box and keyboard only. $260shipped. $300 shipped international (via priority mail)
http://i.imgur.com/qwOwi.jpg
SOLD

This G80-2100HDU is very rare. One of the few baords you can get windowed lock keys. In addition it has tiered F keys on the left (perfect for a KMAC Mini), but the jewel is the windowed Cherry logo key. One of only 2 boards that has this key (the other being a board you will never find). This is my last one. $200 shipped. $255 shipped international (via priority mail)
http://i.imgur.com/8GnSy.jpg
SOLD

I also have a set of NIB 2100 caps (exact caps in the above pic without the board) for $120 shipped. $130 shipped international (USPS 1st class so no tracking). SOLD

WASD board with MX Browns. This board has about 60min of use. I purchased this as a review sample and it's been in the box ever since. I have WASD caps that have arrows instead of the ESDF caps so you can swap them. I can't speak highly enough of WASD's boards. They are built incredibly well and type just as awesome. Might be a good donor board for someone to use for a different set of caps. $75 shipped.

It's beautiful...

Of note, the Cherry logo key on this particular board looks significantly better than on the other 9 boards I have own. I'm not sure why, but it looks much more defined and accurate :)

I believe so (to me), but Bini hasn't been around for a few days, so I guess we wait until he returns to find out for sure?

Since I saw that you've paid for the Keyboard and I paid for the caps I thought that all should be gone. I was just guessing that they should be gone because of that.

I'm sorry if I caused any problem to someone by writing down that previous post.

By the way we should wait for BiNiaRiS to appear because I didn't receive any response since 12 December. I guess he is just busy!

are you the person who won that cherry keyboard on ebay a week or two ago ;{{{{

looks similar enough but who knows!!111oneoneexcalamtionshift

damn that would really suck since that keyboard was only up for about 10 minutes total and the only reason i failed to purchase it for the 50 dollar list price was because i was talking to my friend (in the same room) about how he had just won a free wii u in some sweepstakes contest, haha!!

It seems BiNiaRis is very successful reseller. Bought it at 50 and selling it at 200.

However, I think the keyboard is well worth $200. I would have seriously considered it if it was not sold.

Why did you buy additional ones when you had so many? Why are you on the search for those boards (explains why it was sold within minutes) when you have more than one? Why sell it now? Wasn't your intent reselling at profit?

I don't have problem with reselling in general, but I would prefer a world where goods go to people who would not sell it right away for quick profit.

I think the subtext here (correct me if I am wrong) is that Bin is somehow motivated by 'greed' -- the (faulty) logic being that if you already have one of the 'boards you want, any additional that you happen upon should be given away or passed over for someone else. I suggest that Bin wants to make a profit and I'm 1000% fine with that.

I'm an unrepentant capitalist myself and don't mind anyone making a profit from selling a keyboard. None. At all.

The profit motive actually preserves these 'boards, as I see it. People actively seek out 'boards and protect them for lots of reasons -- and if that reason is profit, that's fine -- otherwise some of these 'boards would go into a landfill.

I greatly prefer a world where people spot valuable things (that I want) and make them available to me, to a world where people are guilt-tripped for acting in their own self-interest.

Rant over. Sorry for the threadcrap.

7 of those 2100s and 3 of those 3116s were sold before I even purchased them to deserving DT and GH members with next to no markup. I kept one of each.

Until 3 months ago I was unemployed and it let me spend countless hours searching. Dozens upon dozens of phone calls spent looking for boards that otherwise would probably never see the light of day again. The first "rare" board I ever found was this (digging through a dumpster at a e-recycling center where I made friends with the owner):
http://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_G80-0528

Trust me, I put in an extraordinary amount of time to find these things. They are well hidden which is why you don't see many people selling anything NIB and old on here.

Bin, I don't know you and I'm new to this board, but please, please don't dignify limmy's statement with a response. You don't need to be defensive. It shouldn't matter whether the keyboards threw themselves into your trunk and said, "Sell me please!" or you burrowed through a thousand miles of dead electronics to find them.
