I'm selling my 2 Phantom orders; PCB, Teensy, PHANSI 150 plate, 7x Cherry stabs. They're also listed in the Classifieds.

While I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of these boards, I've put together my first group buy. It's for Silver Metallic Phantom Stickers.

Not trying to divert the thread, just wanted to get the word out.  :)

The PCBs should be almost finished in production. I think they may still be lagging behind a bit from the long holidays they were on. I wish I could give an exact time, but I haven't asked, and I think that wouldn't make any difference anyway. Soon is the answer I have to offer =)

First of all I picked the 12 day production time, working days that is. The order was submitted  January 31, and didn't make it before their new year. Second I guess they may still be swamped with work piled up during their festivities. I believe they are in the final steps of quality control by now. Hopefully I will get the mail with FedEx tracking info after the weekend. After that they will arrive quickly =)

Apologies if that came off the wrong way.  I was just noting the difference in time.  I'm aware of all the hurdles yo're trying to overcome and am thankful that someone other than myself is taking this on.  So .... thanks, I appreciate everyone's effort in this.

I didn't mean to sound harsh either, I should probably have left out the "First of all" wording, English isn't my first language either =) But, yes it's been taking a bit too long, and I don't really know why that is.

Good new is I just got the mail, the PCBs are with FedEx now =D

You could probably even have custom PCBs delivered by courier over the day if you live in the right place and pay accordingly...

I have a plate, and need only the PCB. But, if you dont want to part it out, will take the whole bundle. Need it for a friend who is going thru bad hand syndrome.

Please PM or reply here.

Well I finally got my hands on these, but because I have a fairly big test Monday, I'll start sending them out midweek. The people who ordered only the PCBs, or are having them sent to WFD/TP will get theirs sent out first. Then when I receive plates from WFD I'll bundle them and send the rest out. Here are some pics though for the mean time:

A fun read if you're bored:
17296-2

So I was going to assemble a board to just make sure everything is working but I ran into a little problem:
17298-3

About 1/3 of the way through soldering switches, I was like "crap, I forgot the stabilizers," which I apparently forgot at my apartment. So that won't happen for a while now.

Well I had some spare time guys and I finally put together a board to check everything out. I found an old wyse board in my basement and bent my own stabilizers and it turned out well. One thing I did figure out the hard way though is that LEDs I ordered are polarized. When installing the LEDs you'll notice that one leg is longer than the other. Make sure that longer leg goes in the round hole (you'll see a pair of holes marked LED_A or LED_B) and the shorter leg goes in the square one. I'll make note of this in the OP too, but if your caps/scroll locks don't light up that's probably why.

LEDs are always polarized, just FYI. LED stands for light emitting diode, and diodes only permit current to flow one way. Nice blue switches though, CLICK CLICK CLICK!

All LEDs are like that.  Electrically they act as Diodes, which always have an anode and cathode.

You have a big test Monday, but still made time to build the keyboard. True keyboard geek here.

I'll get the plate issue worked out one way or another.

You can get bipolar LED's but this is usually done to get a different colour if the current is flowing in a different direction (and they are, therefore, more like 2 LEDs in one)

Now it's time to ask: what's that QR code mean? I can't scan it (not enough contrast) and my imagemagick skill is too low to fix it in postprocessing.

Finally: that plate looks nice! I wish I'd have got two PCB's and another plate from him to compare to the original plate.

Probably best to have his PCBs sent to someone else or just hold them until he responds. I've sent him a few PMs last week but he hasn't responded.

I'll send you a PM about this.

I'm going to try talking to him and see what he'd like to do and see if he will be able to assemble all the boards that are supposed to come to him. If not they will probably go to WFD instead

I'm also on the solder squad for that GB, hence my question. WFD PM'd me and I think he and I agreed to have you hold them/WFD get all of them until Prof becomes less MIA. I don't want people to get upset about the Prof matters when their Phantoms aren't assembled after months.

What the hell are we waitin for?

I haven't been active here for a while, purposely saving my wallet, but I still wonder if my Phantom is going to be in the mail when I come home after work.

Is it just me or is 4 months starting to push it ?
