To be clear, this means with or without 1x winkeys in the bottom row.  And the "with winkey" version can then be used for 1.25x mods as well.

Well thanks for clearing that up. I was hoping for the 5 keys above the Invert-T, but meh. I would love to have an alu case that has that...but I might just have to go for the case that's being discussed on Deskthority...

Putting together a case is cake, proper ended screw driver and go.  It's the PCB/switch side of things that requires some real skill.

So only need someone to do the pcb and the rest will be piece of cake? We don't need to solder the switches right?

Yes, you need to solder switches. Last time I checked tape doesn't work that well for conductivity or holding strength lol

I'm assuming that since he's calling this "phantom case" that he's refering to the phantom PCB GB that just went through.  I bought an extra, and I'm sure a few others did as well if you still want to get in.

Why are you talking about soldering a case?  The case needs no solder, while the switches need to be welded to the pcb somehow.  That finished PCB is then attached to the case with screws, no soldering needed.

Technically it's the plate that will be attached to the case, not the PCB

I'm sure the PCB and plate will be one assembly after soldering

Boost said 1-2 months before the prototype is done, add a few weeks for the order forum, a couple for production and a couple for shipping. I'm going to guess about ~4 months

Profo, do you realize what you are asking?  Stainless would require a stupid amount of machine time.  Probably $1k or more.  As to the alternate layouts that has already been revealed: winkey/winkeyless.

i know its harder didnt know it was that much more machine time. How about an all brass case then? The all brass render K i have kinda cool!

Hmm a plate wouldt be too much of an issue to design i wouldnt think because I have the file for mine from bpiphany. The top of the case would be a problem snd there no way im dremeling that.

If you got deep pockets a brass and/or can be done, but like alaric stated you're looking at 1k+

What kind of quantities do you need for a plate design to be made? I'd really like to see this in ISO with 1.5x mods and short right Shift, but I'm afraid that won't be overly popular.

As far as I know, boost will be using me for plates. I can do quantities of one, but it will cost a bit more. If boost doesn't want to handle small plate orders like this, then I can handle it separately but it will take a bit more time with my schedule.

As you have on your to-do list in the first post deciding between 8 or 9 degrees (I guess you mean the angle of the whole thing?), I like to vote for 8°.
