Some interesting stuff overall; flat keys, metallic keys, spherical keys, and POM to be found.

SP if you are listening it would be cool to have a PBT printed option next to your DS sets. @$60 (more than I paid for a CUSTOM [ragnarok red on black] doubleshot set AFTER the group buy) I can't pull the trigger.

Again, why are the standard DS keys $60? holy rape, I thought this was keycaps DIRECT.

Single sets are more expensive to make that a large order of them

Hmm, sounds like those flat keys the have at the below link is what they are talking about:
http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/marketplace.php

It'll be interesting to see how useful they are to gamers.

saw those flat keys, not sure how those would feel while gaming, it might be worth a try.

wonder what those flat keys would look like on a keyboard, like a poker, with all the keys being flat and there being legends instead of blank, like blue legends on dark grey. bah, thinking too much...need to get another drink.

I don't think it is the flat keys they are talking about, for several reasons.  I think they are cooking up something completely new.  I actually picture it to look very much like the DSA.

Sounds interesting but I'm not really sold on the flat key idea.

One of the reasons I joined the DSA Retro GB is that the spherical surface might be nice for gaming.

Looks like they are now accepting applications for testing their eSports caps but I get a delivery failure with that email address.

that lockout key thing is smart. I assume that's so you can't press down certain keys without taking it off the board?

That'd be useful on winkey while gaming. Anybody know if they're easy to swap?

@SignaturePlastics

Where are the upskirt pics?

I need reinforcement bars.

I am contemplating to buy a whole keyboard or 3 of these caps.  They look really really nice and seem like they will really work for my application.  But making the decision would be much easier if I could see if the keycaps have reinforcement bars or not.
Rosewill RK-9000RE #1 (Broke on day 26, fixed with Scotch Tape on day 42, barely holding together)
Rosewill RK-9000RE #2 (Lubed, still in the box.  I am afraid to use it because it will break like the first one)

Just got an email from SP saying my eSports caps have shipped out! So I will have some sort of review when they arrive here in Canada, hopefully next week!

I hope they're planning to offer the full keyboard layout with those keycaps. It makes no sense to only use it on the Alpha part.

Interested to see what you guys actually use them for. I can't think of a practical application myself.

The lower profile is interesting - by only replacing keycaps for those keys used by whichever game you are playing, I think the e-sports caps will help avoid/minimize accidental key presses.  I'm going to try them out on a few FPS's and dota.
