I'm guessing the Korean Customs will skyrocket that number. :P

Mostly looking for models that include win-keys.

MKC made one, there also is the Skeldon TKL and the Vortex case that is available on mechanicalkeyboards.com.

Are there any mass produced TKL aluminum cases besides for the Vortex cases? I can't think of any. Some Korean customs that have aluminum TKL cases include:

- KMAC series
- LZ-GH
- LZ-S
- LZ-F
- Orion TKL

BlueBär's post also has some good suggestions.

Stock QFR caps are laser engraved and filled, correct? Not etched?

I think you're right.

Edit: The DT wiki says that the caps are laser etched and infilled ABS.

I don't think so either.

Question: Can somebody give me some measurements of Costar stabilizer inserts?

Do all cherry doubleshots (white on black) with 1.25 mods have a messed up bottom row? (off center stems) Or is this only when you harvest from a G81 (MY)

Would the mods from a G80 be compatible with a filco?

I think an MY3000 and G80-3000 would work for you other than the Caps Lock which has an off centered stem placement.

Nope, MY3000/G81-3000 does have off center stems. I have one sitting right behind me and just double checked.

Just a heads up, please check out this post for up to date information on the GH60 buy in case you haven't been following the GH60 thread. Doing my best to post the relevant updates in that post. A link can also be found in the OP.

Are there any keyboards with cutouts for two AA batteries?

I plan to make a wireless mech with my ****ty logitech wave RD controller that I spent $60 on......only problem is room for the new (****ty 2kro) controller and the two AA batteries it uses

I've never heard of a mechanical keyboard with a cutout especially made for batteries. Both in the past or coming up.

Guess I'll do an open air direct solder configuration for this project then

Anyone know the dimensions between the bottom of the stem and the bottom half of the housing on an MX switch?  Looking for these dimensions at rest, actuation, and bottom.  I was going to email Cherry but their website link just opens your installed email client, which I don't have.

They are using a "mailto:" type link. Just right click and copy email address, and paste in your web-based mail program or whatever you use to get your email.

Would the mods from a G80 be compatible with a filco?

All the modifiers on a G80-8113 or G80-8200 will work on a filco (the only noncompatible key is the spacebar and sometimes the enter key / pipe key) Keep in mind, though, that the windows keys and menu key are not doubleshot.

The bottom of the stem hits the bottom of the housing iirc. Total travel is 4mm and actuation is around 2mm, exact actuation point depends on the switch type.

Ugh full size. That almost negates a major purpose of wireless: to be portable

You asked for keyboards with cutouts for AA :p

BUT there was one or two of the older models a plum and maybe a noppo I think the plum may have used AA's and one of the noppo models wasn't wireless but had a door for a battery with nothing inside.

Thanks BlueBar.  I was thinking for some reason that the stem bottomed out on something other than the bottom of the housing.

Keep looking :). If you want something nice, look for Originative's GMK white/beige set. It should have the kits you need for a Filco/QFR. It'll run you about $100 and you'll have to be quick on the draw, but you'll love 'em.

There's really no comparison between mx and topre. Some may claim so, but rubber is much different from plastic

Seems to be appropriate, since you like the 45g actuation MX switches. Topre may be a bit heavier; but smoother. There's no way to tell if you would like 55g or 45g better though, sorry.

I'm not sure I see the correlation since I don't think that it's as easy as saying "Oh I like light switches so I'll like light MX and light Topre". I think the different switch types (Alps, Topre, MX, Buckling Spring, etc) are unique and it's going to be hard to judge by comparing from one type to another. I would suggest you try both to judge it. Plus, none of us know exactly what you're looking for in a switch. It's personal preference more than anything.

Yup, it definitely is BTC.  I scored one of those boards cheap a long time ago for the caps.  They feel like disappointment.

They feel like disappointment.

LOL. That made me laugh for no reason. That's how I'm describing switches I don't like from now on.

Is there any place with 62g springs in stock right now?

Originative has them but I'm not sure if those orders are being fulfilled right now. Other than that...in stock *right now*? I can't think of anyone...maybe GON's site has some? Or imsto? Not 100% on their stocks.

Thanks guys. Looks like no springs on Imsto or Gon's sites, and Originative is sold out. Placed an order in the GB.
