Where can I get some Yellow keycaps for Backlit keyboards?
« on: Sun, 31 March 2013, 14:56:22 »
Does anyone know where I can get some Yellow keycaps (doesnt matter if PBT or ABS) that let the LED shine through ie. like those keycaps in the Ducky Shine.

WASD Keyboards' keycaps should work fine for this purpose.

I like keyboards and case modding.  Everything about a computer should be silent -- except the KEYBOARD!

I think he is looking for more translucent legends, which WASD can't do. I don't think there is a choice for him in this color. But with the way we're progressing with SP and the polycarb goodness, maybe these are something we could see in the near future. I know I have my fingers crossed for that.

What if it doesn't have to be in "yellow" color? like ie. black or white?

You mean, just black/white backlit caps? If you want something in black, grey or purple caps that are meant for backlit boards. There are quite a few selections there.

I've got people to disappoint, I got mistakes to make.
How can you believe that I'm not a waste of space?
Oh I'm sorry to disappoint, I seldom save face.
But how can I speak your language
when I don't know my own....

There are very few PBT double shots (to my knowledge), so you will get ABS.

Most backlit keycaps are terrible and the coating wears off, but more importantly, finding yellow caps with clear legends will proably be non-existent. Most companies use white, black or clear with white black or clear legends and use a colored LED behind it (Sharpies work on white ones to change color).

Yellow keys aren't common to begin with, neither are backlit keycaps, so finding one with clear legends is probably fruitless search.
