I should try wet-shaving.  My beard doesn't agree with current razor technology.

I think everyone who shaves should. If done properly, it's so much better. Just be warned. It can be expensive. Don't be taken in by people telling you that once you have your equipment, then only cost is inexpensive blades and maybe cream/soap that can be cheap and lasts a good amount of time. Unless that is your goal, it can be easy to get lost in, just like keyboards.

i have had to remove rarar from the list, as with everything there is always one who spoils things, he saw fit as i understand it to sign up for the santa, receive a gift, then proceed to tell the person he was sending to that he wont be sending anything

there really is no excuse for this in my opinion, if his financial situation is so bad that he didnt have a couple of dollars for shipping then he shouldnt have signed up in the first place, i try to avoid a lot of the negativity on this forum and be as positive and helpful as possible, but this behavior is unacceptable and exploitative 

for what its worth I did talk to rarar today on IRC and he said this was a misunderstanding and he does intend to send his SS person their gift. I forgot to ask him when it was going to be sent out though.

So i guess worst case is if it hasn't be mailed by then, i'll ask him to give me the gift and mail it myself after the MN meet up.

well i have organized this, he is aware of that, and at no point has he said anything to me regarding making this right, i hope he rights all of his wrongs, i do, i have already made arrangements in regards to the person he was sending to and id like to keep it that way, i think he has far more to make up for in this community than the secret santa and i think he should concentrate his efforts somewhere else

Well, my experiment was a total failure and it will take too long to get all the kinks worked out, but I have some other cool things to send out to my person.  None as cool as the Zinc Space Invaders key cap I'm trying to fab, but still some cool stuff.

Not sure if it was the fault of the mold, not getting the metal hot enough, bad sprues, or something else.  Right now I'm looking for powdered clay so I can try it again with green sand instead of a plaster of pairs/silica mold.
