UPDATED Aluminiun case for PURE and RACE

I find a local factotry and they managed to replicate the pure plastic case and made an aluminium one. about 95-100 usd
here are some pictures:
I am from china, the thin(flat bottom) version of pure case weigths about 200g and thickness is 2MM@side 2.5MM@bottom
pure with plastic base weithgs0.4-0.5kg, pure with my alu base weights 0.6kg.

Yay, this seems to has deep space inside unlike other CNC cases.  It is very important for modding, I like to support this design decision.

EDIT: and how light? I don't like heavy case for mobility.

Everyone wants to make aluminum, and sure, they're nice, but some people (probably most?) can't afford them and would really appreciate them. I will post more detailed pictures of it. Its not final, just a sample. I will see what  I can improve.

should be exactly the thickness of pure plastic case. Or even thinner.

You could have the spacers milled in with a keyhole type mill and then insert/slide the PCB in at an angle. But I'm almost sure that a 2 piece with spacers would be cheaper/easier.

PCB is not the problem, you can slide it in a an angle easily. But the case, it's not impossible, just highly impractical. WKL and HHKB will need the "floating" blocks, trying to mill something like this out is not cheap.

PCB is not the problem, you can slide it in a an angle easily. But the case, it's not impossible, just highly impractical. WKL and HHKB will need the "floating" blocks, trying to mill something like this out is not cheap.

Ah yes, I suppose that floating the blocks would be expensive. Gotcha gotcha. I designed a winkeyless single piece case at one point for fun, which was easy enough. I didn't realize that the floating was an expensive milling problem.

Really like this design. Those are the perfect angles around the base IMO.  I would definitely pick up 1-2 in that exact color. I'm assuming that's gunmetal?
