For the past couple weeks I've been talking with a guy who is named Kailet on GH about his access/relation to the 2TU project.
(Kailet's Blog,

Three orders can still be made from members of Geekhack. Order deadline May 10th. Please contact Kailet via e-mail if you need more information awshim@gmail.comThe 2TU also known as Two Thumbs Up or TuTu is a 60% board which is extremely similar in customization to our GH60 project.
Its design (pcb) is known as "thumb" and supports the following,
- Full NKRO by ps/2
- Full LED support with 8 different LED modes
There are 8 LED modes:
1. Fade in/out
2. Fade in/out + keypress on
3. Brightness level - brightness increases on keypresses
4. Keypress on
5. Keypress off
6. Always on
7. Linked with Caps Lock - full LED on with Caps Lock toggled
8. Off - except Caps Lock and Number Lock(@backspace), those two are independent
- Various arrays and custom layout options
- Micro usb.
- Customizeable key bindings via http://tinyurl.com/d9je224 for use with ISP Loader.
To change the keymap, first you need to edit and compile the keymap(I can do that for you),
and then you need a deviced called ISP loader to upload the firmware to the PCB.
You can google 'USB ISP' to find out how they look like.
Kailet is, from what I can tell, pretty involved in this project and a few of his own. He is creating custom housings for these PCBs, and he has made full polycarbonate, polycarbonate and aluminum, and full aluminum slim designs. In addition to designing and fabricating various housing solutions for this project he has also taken into consideration what he can do with the mix of materials. I don't want to pat myself on the back too much because he may have had the idea already but after explaining that I would love to have a keyboard with interior glow he posted this picture.

Here's a video of one of the LED modes with the internal LEDs.
I was told by Kailet in other e-mails that he would make some of these keyboards for Geekhack members upon request.
These aren't cheap as most customs are not.
I got confirmation on prices! The rough price for PCB+Housing plus shipping would be little less than $250.
And one assembled will be a little less than $400.
Shipping will be $30 to $40 for a safe and quick delivery called EMS with a tracking number.
It normally takes around 4 days.
He has 5 PCBs available for members of our forum.
He can be reached by e-mail at awshim@gmail.com
I only asked for this information in case some serious collectors wanted to know of availability.

this thread.
Big thanks to boost for the heads up!
