As long as i dont have to shovel it i guess it's ok.maybe i'll get to experience it if/when i go see the aurora borealis someday.for now though i'll just have to imagine the snow, sitting in 30degree C weather...

I love snow! So many sports to do. Skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, the list goes on!

Well, I live in a tropical climate and work on an offshore island to boot, so I guess my hobbies differ from yours. Here, i can dive almost all year round, hang out by the beach, enjoy runs with the cool sea breeze in my face, going into the shrubbery looking for edible fruit. Seeing monitor lizards and cats lazing in the sun. Come to think of it I wouldn't trade it for anything but it would be nice to experience new things now and again.

We enjoyed it; we were there for one night to see friends on our way down the east coast. But I don't think we could afford to go there on a regular basis. We used points to stay at our hotel and brought Krispy Kreme for breakfast.

Went to the San Diego Safari Park (formerly the San Diego Wild Animal Park) today with my wife and daughter.  Had a great time chasing Eden all over the place.  The new Tiger enclosure is amazing, the tiger is literally like 5 feet away.

Thanks.  She is 18 months old as this last Thursday.  She was late to the walking game but has been talking for a while.  We are still waiting on the hair.

A long exposure will give you a more "average" composite of whatever you're shooting.  So if you're taking a picture of a keycap or a rock in low light, it will look the same, but moving things will blur.  In the case of water, all the ups and downs will "cancel" out giving you a flat surface.  That's how a lot of waterfall pictures end up looking really different from an actual waterfall in real life.  Hope that makes sense.

I'll have to get video of that sometime!

My guess is that it doesn't roll/boil like water and it's just impurities in the metal that float to the top.

In Kainuu is snow all over, again, but it's just slush all over. And I hate it. >:D Hope the cold comes soon and it lasts till spring :rolleyes:

Don't know why but Helsinki still look like this now (except the sun...), hardly see snow anywhere. I have a friend comes here for some day off from Rovaniemi said it was snow all over there, even thick to the rooftops.  Luckily my place still havent yet :p

I've tried eating those. Is there a "proper" way of pealing pomegranate without squirting the juice everywhere? I know there's the underneath the water method, but the pomegranates taste different & watery afterwards. Also, the seeds are such a pain to spit out.  :( Some people say they just swallow it? :confused:

We have dry asphalt here in Saint Petersburg now.

And rovaniemi is almost on the Arctic Circle.
