Hello, gang,

I'm happy to join in with my new LZ-GH.  Some of you may have seen its story here.  It used to be "Wine Red"--now "electric turquoise".

I don't yet have a proper tsangan kit, as all of my prior keyboards have been ANSI in layout, but I've got some caps ordered.  Also waiting for cyan and warm white LEDs to arrive, as well as replacement switch stickers.  In the meantime, I grew impatient and put in stock vintage Blacks for the next couple of weeks and some temporary caps.

Updated with the new color:





I love this keyboard  :thumb:  Feels great!

Does anyone know which bolts are used for LZ-GH?  I thought they were M3, but I got an M3 bolt to test, and it's very slightly loose.  Inspecting an M3 vs the stock ones, I think I can also see a difference.  Are the stock ones non-metric perhaps?

Edit: Confirmed m3--just tested a bunch in a hardware store.

After a long wait I finally received my LZ-GH. 62g  lubed ergo clears (silver springs), red switch stickers, red and white LEDs.

So i got mine in the mail but I want to take non potato pictures before posting it.  However I also have another question to the LZ-GH owners.  Does your LZ have a odd type of sound after you hit a key.  like a ringing of the plate?  and how did you silence it if it does

That's natural if you have a cavity beneath the PCB.  Put some drawer liner cut to shape under the PCB--should dampen any resonances nicely :)

Just wanted to add this just in case people don't know where to buy it. Drawer liner can be found at Target or a store that sells kitchen supplies. I bought a huge roll for $2.

I got mine at HomeDepot but also have seen them at local small hardware stores, such as Ace Hardware, Model Hardware, etc.  I think supermarkets might sell them as well.

Yes.  My Filcos were also dampened with this liner, and the result was much quieter.  I add liner into every new keyboard I get now.  You can also use some thin foam.  Anything non-conductive that seems good for sound-proofing.

If you're putting it into a normal plastic case, you may need to do some creative cutting to make everything fit, as plastic cases frequently have various protrusions, such as for cable routing or what not.  At least the Filco cases have them.
