So there I was, on Amazon.com looking to buy a HHKB 2 Pro (KB-400W). A third-party seller was selling theirs much cheaper than normal, and I bought it.
... When I received it, it 's a PD-KB02, the original HHKB 2. I plug it into my trusty PS/2 to USB adapter (the keyboard was brand new in box, just missing a longer PS/2 cable). Using it on OS X, I realized, no matter what the key switch position (0, 1, 2, or 3) I tried to set on the back of the keyboard, the Command buttons were not having it. Do you think I'd have to use a PS/2 to ADB converter cable (by PFU) before converting ADB to USB (with like a Griffin iMate)?
Also, I was checking out what type of keys the HHKB2 has, but I can't find any specifics. Searched all over Google and geekhack.org and was not able to find anything definite... However, the PFU site says this:
http://www.pfu.fujitsu.com/hhkeyboard/eol.html"Membrane switch (3.8mm stroke, soft snap), 19.05mm pitch"
"Cylindrical, curved sculptures, pressing pressure 50g"
(That's through Google Translate)
I'm thinking rubber domes? It is a very nice rubber dome keyboard. The fact that it isn't working with "Command" is a turn-off though. Any recommendations on what I can do?
