Congrats to the many winners tonight! Almost wish I hadn't won earlier so I could get a 65 rather than a 50 but still very happy none the less :D Glad to hear clackman is alive and clicking.
Not to mention I could have about 40 hours of my life back and save gigs of mobile data hahah. But I'm happy non the less. It was fun. A $50 clack is better than a kick in the arse with a frozen boot. But it does sting a little knowing that I put in a lot of time and effort toward winning a clack and some people who barely tried get a better one with little to no work at all. THERAPY!!
Some of the people who won in the final sale tried just as hard if not harder than the 3CC orgy participants =/
(I personally spent 300+ hours staring at Spy because Tapatalk notifications don't work properly for me)
I get that. I'm just assuming at least some of the final sale participants were either first time Clackventers or casual Clackvent players and had a few hours of back to back sales and ample notification time on the final sale to get in. And on the flip side there were others like me who refreshed their phones hundreds of times every day and got lucky enough to be drawn for a $50 clack. I also recognize that some of these final sales participants likely put in a hell of a lot more time than me and luck just wasn't on their side. For those few, I am happy. For the first time Clackventers who won, I am mad jealous! Not bitter or mad, just jelly.

Oh man I didn't intend to start a debate! I am in no way at all disappointed/upset/salty or whatever other word you may use, I got my first clack ever and am ecstatic I'm not sure how much the difference will be between 50-65 (I assume with no reason to assume so, 50 single color 65 has a different color eye or something) And while I absoluetly love and prefer the different colored eye variety of his caps I am happy with what I got, and happy with what others got! Hopefully I can find a trade to get my (doubleshot I think it the word you guys use for it?) first colored eyed clack, if not I'll still have a clack :D

Guys, I gotta say. This orgy is pretty sweet. Wish you could be here (especially you vesper  ;)).

Phobro... why you gotta be that way... You of all people know how dedicated I was...  :'( :'( :'(

I don't get it... I won my first 2 clacks so freaking early... I entered pretty much almost all of the Clackvents... never got my orgy... *sigh* I guess it's my fault for getting my hopes up... I guess I was never meant to get orgy...

Show Image

I know this is very un-popular question, but.. Does anyone know if he was making the clacks on the fly with the competition? So like 2-3 per day, which means he can already start shipping them?

I don't think anyone knows that.  I would assume that he had quite a few already made before the sale started.  He was anticipating selling ~60 keycaps from the start.

Good point!  We have a list of every single winner this time, which I don't believe has ever been the case for a cap sale.  Huh.

Everybody better post a bunch of pics, or we'll bombard your inbox!   >:D

Sent payment for my last win yesterday, got a notice today saying it was declined by Paypal. WTF.

So the money went out of my bank account, to Paypal for CC, and it was sent back? Why? ???

And on top of all that I can't even get access to the $65 until it clears in 2-5 days. I am genuinely baffled. IT'S THE SAME ****ING ACCOUNT YOU IDIOTS!

I totally wouldn't mind buying off ebay if I have the funds.

Except most of the time they're auction listings so they sell for entirely too much money. I'd consider paying $200 for a Candy Corn Skull or an OG but that kind of money for a single color is bonkers.

True. I personally would only bid to a certain amount and whoever is rich and wants to pay more can go ahead and do so.

What if I wanted to keep what I got a secret :))

Many people probably will!

Sadly, that's true  :'(

We'll never know the trade potential!

Until they turn up on eBay and /r/mk a couple of years days later.

Hopefully this influx of clacks entering the system will lower the price of them at least a little.

Probably won't happen though :\

I may be naive, but I'd like to think that the people who participated in Clackvent aren't the type of people to sell clacks at ridiculous prices.

What I mean by a lower price is lower than current prices. Even though I'm all for artisan keycaps, I feel that marking up the price that much is a bad concept. Unfortunately people do so because other people do so.

Okay I gotcha. Yeah, that would be nice, but like you said, I doubt it.

Speaking of eBay... I just saw a single mx clack there and it is around 150 dollars with 5 days left... why do these particular keys demand such a high value?

Gnomes don't work for free you know! There is significant overhead in employing an entire army of gnomes to create keycaps for you  - I'm just glad Clack has managed to train his gnomes to produce such high-quality & beautiful keys!  :thumb:

Call me cynical but I have a feeling we're going to start seeing them pop up more and more on eBay. Anonymity means they can list them over there for a massive profit while keeping a good name over here.

Haha, that would be awesome!  I do have a PM from the JD day saying my first Clack will be sent within a week of payment (which was near instant) and it's had a couple of weeks to cross the pond so it could happen.  No-one con-US has theirs yet though (unless you're keeping it quiet?!) so somehow I don't think it will...

I keep forgetting my Clack will be in transit soon. Can't wait to see what CC has done.

My dream scenario :
It's Saturday afternoon, with cool air con in the living room. I'll be playing GTA V on my ps4 and 4k TV, with thick sweet super cold ice coffee and my wife deliver me a package from the mailman from Clack. Why the afternoon? so that I can take photos of the Clacks with natural lighting

I wish i got mail in the morning because it would be something nice to wake up to.
I havent gotten mail in the morning for years now. Always get it around Noon to 3pm-ish. Horrible since it's less likely for me to be home >.>
