we are opposites.

more clacks = more boards

thank goodness the only boards i want are a viper and ssk. without that cap, i'd probably be busy buying clacks and then worrying about what board to buy to fit it.

Here's hoping for an early-ish one today.

I'm getting annoyed because half the sales lately are too late and the other half are nearly too late, so I'm tired and distracted and miss them by a couple of minutes.  I liked the two minute warning posts and the massive lag they created with everyone mashing F5, but I suspect the sysadmin is not a fan :'(

Clacks or keyboards?  Well I have no clacks (I am 1/10 so that will change) and only one desk so I'll take Clacks please.

Though if they swap me to a scissor switch board at work as they're doing on some of the upgrades I will have to get a board for there, so maybe I should save up for that...

Are these caps premade already, or are they made on the fly while competition is ongoing?

I'm guessing that they're made as the sale goes on because you can pick your stem.

Another possibility is having say, 20 of each stem and then making more if there is more demand on a specific stem

Giving himself a bit of a head start since we only choose a stem and not a design/color

Who knows though. I guess the gnomes know :P

Speaking of which, and not that CC has ever released ststs before, but I for one would be interested to see the percentages of people who requested each of the 3 stem types. Guess would be MX beating Topre, but not by much and BS trailing with maybe a fifth of the requests that either MX or Topre got.

CC wanna give us some end sale stats when the time comes? A guys gotta have his stats or he gets all itchy ;)

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
