It appears to be tritium vials.  In other words, it's slightly radioactive.

So is Spy the tab that we should be on, or should we be constantly refreshing the Clack Rednelac thread?

Check every thread constantly.

Also Spy.

Also Tapatalk notifications on all Clack threads.

Also Tapatalk notifications on Clack subforum.

Don't sleep.

Don't do anything.

Good luck.

Yeah the night after he originally posted the thread, I stayed up an extra hour just staying half on the thread and half watching netflix, it was not the most fun.

Again, I still recommend that people wait until clack actually confirms the event and the rules of it before interrupting their life for nothing (you'd have wasted two days already if you started Friday night). If you want to be the person that shows up 11 days in advance to stand in line for a sale though, then, well, that's your decision, but personally I'd rather just miss the first day (and you're guaranteed to miss days if the event is similar to last year [unless you're botting] due to how random the dude is).

Assuming it does happen though and it's the same format as last year- don't refresh the thread, it takes way too long to load (especially once he opens the post to replies, the server pretty much dies). Realistically watching spy is probably the best approach, because it can be 10+ seconds between clack replying and opening it up to replies, by which time it'll have already updated on the spy page. Some people use tapatalk alerts instead, but those have been prone to being delayed (sometimes days). From there, just have the reply page open in a tab already and f5 it until it's open and make your ****post.

Keep in mind that forum is on a different host than the one it was on at this time last year, so it may turn out it's not even capable of supporting the bum rush of traffic a CV event will draw (possibly forcing clack to change up the format). Also be sure to disable the reply while typing notifications, or you'll pretty much never be successful in getting posts in (assuming old format). You'll need to be more mindful when posting in general after you disable that setting though.

Tonight is probably the only night I'll be up late due to Giants game. Unless he decides to do something daytime weekend, I'm pretty sure I'm boned on clackvent.

That is okay, though. Hoping I win 420 and I think I posted a bit in the flux thread even though I never typed what 209384092790 people typed.
My wife I a also push her button . But now she have her button push by a different men. So I buy a keyboard a mechanicale, she a reliable like a Fiat.

Oh totally agree on waiting to confirm an event is even taking place.  My comment was mostly a joke, at least the latter portions.  ;)

And solid advice on the other aspects as well, if people want to be efficient (vs camping everything non-stop in hopes of catching something).  :thumb:

Yeah I keep telling myself that it would be better to miss the first day, but I have kept my screen halved on whatever I am doing and the Rednalac thread. I set up tapatalk alerts, but I am worried those are not going to go off in time, when I wasn't busy and had my phone charger nearby, I told my phone to not dim the screen for 10 minutes and set it up to be ready to refresh, while wearing my pebble (so the second I get a notification, I would press the refresh button and hopefully post in time. Thanks for that disable reply by typing, it will have saved my life :), I'll stay on both spy and the rednalac thread :), is the rednalac thread the reply page, or is there a URL that I could use and refresh to go directly to the reply box? Also for your ****post, do you just paste it in or do you type something like a character or in your case "asdfasdf"?

I had a pebble that I used during CV last year. I would advise against what you are planning, cuz the refresh takes forever to load. Best bet if you are leaning on Tapatalk is to go through your notification, which loads/caches his reply, then reply. When the notifications worked, i was able to post this way 90% of the time. Maybe less, maybe more, but it worked well. If you do the refresh route, the thread will be probably be locked before you even get a chance to type ahsnfne.

The fact that he created an alter-ego account of Hoff is the icing on the cake. That mod edit is like having Robin Williams bursting out laughing at your joke and telling you you're funny.

The mods made normie accounts because some of them were posting in the thread after it had already been locked, which would cause the thread to get unlocked.

Also for your ****post, do you just paste it in or do you type something like a character or in your case "asdfasdf"?

Add your own flavor.  By the end of the event last year, people were copying in pictures and such.  Just have fun with it.  I remember feeling proud that I got a giggle out of the Clackman for one of my posts.  :)

My only fear about that is that it would likely take more time (especially under the stress that clackvent would put on the servers) to upload like a short story that I write whilst waiting or a picture than it would a single character, would this be a valid fear?

Keep it forever in your clipboard or post first and edit later if there's time.

So as long as I have the notifications enabled and I have my phone on next to me, I should be able to get the clack notification prior to when my pebble does?

You were actually the top poster in the Flux thread, I did the tally  :-[

1. absyrd      29
2. Glenmael   27
3. romevi      21
3. rowdy      21
4. SamirD      13
5?. nubbinator   11

I had no idea I posted that much as well

~Edit:
That's only if my method was correct:
Hit the 'print' button on the thread, search for 'Post by: ', grab all the  'Post by: 's, filter in excel, tally it up.

Cool, I guess I'll have a low stress (due to the rednalac) time until the rednalac strikes clackday.

As much as I like Clacks, there is no way in hell I am staying up and constantly refreshing browsers for an indefinite amount of time just to get the chance to buy one.  If I get lucky and happen to be on and it opens that would be cool, but I'm not going to rearrange my life over the coming holiday weeks for a keycap.
