some people have posted many times if the thread is open long enough, which would increase their chances

No.  Clackman would either throw out all or all but one of their posts.  He's not going to let people game the system like that.

Unless, of course, by my posting this, he does it just to spite me and make me wrong.  -_-

That was my understand as well, people who make dupe posts for the same drawing get all their entries for that day negated.

Mr Clackman doth mock me.

6:16am Rowdy starts closing apps in preparation to put computer to sleep at 6:17am (prior to performing ablutions).

6:16:18am Mr Clackman posts in, and opens, Clackvent thread.

6:17:??am Rowdy struggles with stone age computer to open web browser.

6:17:??am Rowdy struggles with third world internet connection to open Clackvent thread.

Damn multiple entries from people who are disqualified based on rule 0.

Eh?

People who aren't registered before 12/1/15

cc told one of them but he still continues to post.

Rowdy has no objection to receiving another one - just trying to get into a sale is challenging at the moment.

how many posts does one need to be worthy of a custom clack?

does one also need a known affinity for a certain colour?

So Rowdy had a browser window open with the Clackvent thread showing right up until he left for work this morning.

No sale, naturally :))

Then the thread opens just then.  Again too slow, even though this work computer is faster, but still third world internet connection.

I had the forum open to occasionally F5, and had my phone out for tapatalk notifications just in case ... phone dies, go to grab a charger ... missed the sale in that minute.

Checked Tapatalk while getting dinner ready and then put my phone down to chop some pepper.  After chopping is done my phone buzzes so I check the Tapatalk notification to see CV thread closed 1 minute ago :(

At least I still have dinner though!

missed again during lunch, yay

does anyone know if he's chosen winners for any of the past days?

Lunch time for me too, and I was actually posting!

But by the time I saw the notification, opened the thread etc. it was already locked.

dont give up rowdy, there is always next time!

I also missed it this time, due to urgent issue with the toilet cubicle

By my sale history, I'll miss that too :))

Guess what happened?

(a) Rowdy managed to get a Clackvent entry in.
(b) Rowdy was sitting in a small room with no internet connectivity for a few minutes at precisely the time that the thread was opened.

The correct answer is (b).
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
