Ducky 3 Shine Keyboard Space Bar Sticks Sometimes

I have a Ducky Shine 3 Keyboard which I really like. However, the space bar seems to stick when coming back up 50% of the time. It comes back up but it will stick mid point then finish coming up by itself. Is there anything I can do to fix this?  I already threw the box away. I replaced the space cap with the extra r space bar that Ducky inlcuded that has the Ducky emblem on it.

It should go away as you wear the keyboard in.  It usually happens when there's too much stabilizer grease underneath the key.

Try removing it and replacing it, making sure that the stems are correctly inserted and there is no damage underneath.

I removed  it and resat it this time allowing the spacebar to be higher. It no longer sticks but the spacebar is higher than the other keys in that row. Is it supposed to be like that? Also, I noticed there are 3 leds but only the middle one turns on. Is that normal?

Ugh, it started to stick again. I think it has the do with the black stabilizers on the side of the switch.  Any suggestions? I already threw away the box so I can't exchange it for another one and I don't want to send it back for a repair.

Elitekeyboards sells some keyboard lube that might help with the stab stickiness.

The Shine 3 has special functions to adjust the extra LEDs under the space bar - have a look in the manual.

Probably the stabilizer wire came off on one side.  You can try to plug it back to place.

Wow, I didn't see any wires at the stabilizers when I had the keycap spacebar off. Are they underneath? How would I get to them?

You'll have to open the board up. It's between the plate and PCB.

Do I just need to take the 2 screws out in the back? I was thinking about trying this at work if it is quick and easy.

naw, i got rid of the other space bar so i can't test it.

how do i get the keyboard apart? i took out the 2 bottom screws but its still tightly together.

Here is the one of the stabilizers of the space bar. Sometimes it comes up but very slowly and has hardly any pressure. Are they supposed to be like that?

Yes, that's normal.

Cherry stabilisers do not have a spring under the end stems, just in the switch.

The stabiliser is just to make sure that if you press one side of the space bar down, the other side goes down at the same time, and causes the switch to activate.

Otherwise the space bar would just tilt to one side if not pressed in the exact centre.

I guess it must be the space bar itself then. Maybe I should try and file the outer edge of the stabilzer poles under the spacebar?

Although you said you have tried two space bars - the original one and Ducky's replacement.

It is unlikely, although possible, that the two space bars are deformed in the same way.

Ideally you would try a third space bar from another manufacturer before resorting to more drastic methods.
