Honestly, I'd purchase both TKL sets. Happily. But I don't even want to offer that as an option until we hit 50 on Bloo.

Makes sense. Where's the GB thread?

It'll be going up this weekend. I'm a bit swamped at the moment.

Here's my vote. It's a tribute to myself.

"The Calm"

Thats actually pretty good. I'd also suggest "Deep Blue"

We had a "The Deep" scheme up originally which might get confusing.  Especially if it ever comes up as a group buy later.

This was one of my favorite color scheme in the vote so I guess I'll be in on this GB !

If you're still looking for a name, I'd propose "Abyss".

Will you propose a kit for the Leopold FC660M ?

Will you propose a kit for the Leopold FC660M ?

If SP uses universal space bars this will work with the FC200R; someone needs to confirm if the FC200R will work on the FC660M.

The FC660M has a 2.25x Right Shift, correct?

I thought the fc660m had a uniquely stemmed spacebar? As in, there is no premade spacebar for it.

From what I've read it has a right shift the same size of a regular left shift.
The space bar seems to be compatible with the keycool ones.

Nothing better than getting some more SA love coming down the production line.  Don't care what colour even if it's blue, because it still has a shade of dolch about it in the full majesty of an SA profile.

I don't think I'll ever get sick and tired of SA .......ever, in what ever colour it's made in.

Just keep us informed and updated with what we need to pay for.  Thank you  :thumb: .

Sorry, guys. Life sorta just too a **** on me.
Still putting this together, it'll just take a couple more days to get set up than I'd anticipated.

Thanks for Mohit/MOZ, we've got mockups done. I'll email them tomorrow to get updates prices. Let me know if there's a desperate need for anything beside these sets, or if you see something you want changed in these sets.

I'm not looking to change them much, here, but we might be able to work out changes if it's something everyone wants.

Do you have the row profiles setup?

I know the commando GB had issues with getting the right profiles for all the keys. There had to be some changes made.

LOL no.

IC is just to gauge if there would be enough interest if the particular product was manufactured.

It is part of the ISO+ kit, or are you suggesting in the MODS kit?

I think it would be nice for those who don't want an ISO kit to have the option of stepped center stemmed capslock.

Unfortunately, it would cost a ridiculous amount to offer keys on a "ala carte" option basis. So we've gotta set 'em into packs like this. The ISO set wont cost all that much, and you have to weigh it against how badly you want a stepped caps.

We could possibly consider it in the mods kit if there is enough interest, but then again we would be spending so much time in deliberation. And then there would be those that want off center in stepped and full touch, etc, etc.

I think its pretty typical to bundle stepped caps in the with the other mods, don't think I've ever seen it bundled with ISO mods before but I could be wrong.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I'll come forward and say that I was the one that made the ISO+ and Tsangan+ bundle.

The ISO+ is basically ISO+Short ANSI Enter+Anticapslock, essentially alternate mods for Row 4,3 and 2.

The Tsangan+ is basically Tsangan + some other mods, essentially alternate mods for Row 1.

Very much appreciate the addition of the option for an ergodox set. To make a complete set, would I have to buy the alpha set? If I do, would there be an option to take out some of the keys such as the f-row? It doesn't seem like an option from the previous posts but I wanted to make sure.

Yeah you'd need an alpha. And I doubt OP will have one without f-row.

The thing is if we have 10 kit, then orders get divided abnd price per kit is high, however if we have 5 kits, there will be more people per kit, and it would end up being almost the same price as that one kit from the ten that you wanted, and you get more caps (Albeit, you might end up with extras you will never use)

Sorry, I wasn't very clear in my post! I meant that having the stepped center stem capslock in the mods kit made sense for those of us that have no use, optional or not, for an ISO kit. Of course it would be ridiculous to offer individual caps! :D

Sorry if this was actually explained, I read the posts but I may have misunderstood something.

Is it true that unstepped capslock == center-stemmed and stepped capslock == off-center stemmed?

If so, I agree with everyone else saying that it would be awesome to have the stepped caps lock be part of either the tsangan+ or the mods kit.  If you have a standard winkeyless-layout TKL (most of which have off-center caps lock) it would suck to have to buy the ISO kit for just the caps lock (you'd need to buy alphanum / mods / tsangan to cover the 1.5x/7x bottom row, so the caps could fit in either mods or tsangan)

EDIT:: also, thanks for including the darker backtick and backslash keys in the mods kit -- my opinion on whether or not it looks better to have those keys match the mods changes pretty often, so it's nice to have both sets around.

What we would need to fit all ANSI modern keyboards would be a center-stemmed and an off-center-stemmed caps lock. Both of them should be in the modifier set, not in the ISO set in my opinion, as this is a basic requirement and has nothing to do with ISO.

If these are stepped or not is only a matter of taste. And of course a matter of which molds SP has ready in SA profile.
Classically you would have

1x full touch (= "unstepped") / center stemmed
1x stepped / off-center stemmed

Some people have additionally asked for

stepped / center stemmed

I agree this would be nice to have, but I would be surprised if SP had a mold for that in SA profile.

Alright, sounds completely reasonable to me. Thanks for the response, guess i'll have to make do with the extra caps.

I don't know if SP can do a stepped Caps Lock key with the SA Profile.  Someone said much earlier that it wasn't on the cards due to lack of a mould for the stepped caps lock.

Maybe Signature Plastics saw how popular the SA profile is now and might of finally offered one but we don't know unless you ask (SP Guru) Melissa.

I know I mentioned that they had a center stemmed stepped caps lock key but I just remembered that this is a different profile sorry for introducing the confusion.  The one they do have is DCS profile i believe.  Boilermaker was the one involved in that project IIRC.

She had preliminary ideas, but I didn't mention stepped caps lock, so we'll see what they have to say.

If you could convince her to do a stepped caps lock for the SA Profile, then this Group Buy suddenly heads into "AWESOME" Territory  :thumb: .

Hey Calm,

Is there any potential for getting deep dish keys for alternative layouts, such as Dvorak or Colemak?

I don't know if SP can do a stepped Caps Lock key with the SA Profile.  Someone said much earlier that it wasn't on the cards due to lack of a mould for the stepped caps lock.

Maybe Signature Plastics saw how popular the SA profile is now and might of finally offered one but we don't know unless you ask (SP Guru) Melissa.

Round 4 had stepped caps lock, so they have the mold :) (I just took these pictures):

You could/will run into profile issues with this (e.g. 'C' moves from bottom row to top row when you move qwerty->dvorak).

Whoops, yeah. My brain failed. This isn't like DSA. :D Well, that solves that issue, then...

Actually, all of the alpha keys will be row 3, so the keys are interchangeable. Incidentally, I am interested as well as I'd like to swap to colemak. Maybe I can get them added to one of the sets. Or perhaps just include alphas that have FJ deep dish, as well as standard.

When did that happen? I thought they were going to be profiled like the Round 4 SPH/ALPHA?

Yeah I was kind of on the fence whether I'd get a set of these but if they're all row 3 I'm definitely out.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

If it's all row 3, I'm all in.

If it's varied, I'd still be in.

If it's all three, I just ask that I can get normal F and J and instead get deep dish N and A. Failing that, I'll take T and E. :D
