I also have my Nerd60 PCB with no plate, Gateron switches, Granite caps and a machined acrylic plate. I just need to build a small front cover for the open corners at the bottom row left with no switches because I am using a HHKB style.

the plate i'll have cut and anodised in the same green as the tex case i'll most likely use for my nerd60 :D

Meanwhile i've receive the Tai-Hao orange set. I need to unsolder everything so i can change the stabilizers.

I really like the orange glow effect on the plate. It looks like is melting  :D
It will feel good on those cold winter days  :))

Yesterday i put the Tai Hao orange set on it. I still need to unsolder everything so i can change it to ANSI.
Also i need to paint inside orange keycaps. They bleed too much.

That looks great!

About the bleed, I've had success using aluminum foil tape, cutting tiny squares and placing them on top of the LEDs, redirecting the light downwards. It's reversible and less work than paint.

I need 12 of those purple 3mx12mm bolts for my board coming tomorrow I'm really not feeling the yellow ones coming with it although I guess I might feel different once it gets here ...l

The wait wasn't bad, I was expecting 5 months and that's how long it took. The wait will only suck if you're really nervous and impatient.

Same! Now I want to get a green GON HHKB, but the price tag is killer.

It's the waiting time that's put me off, kinda waiting to see what Bunny has cooked up for [Ctrl]Alt's relaunch and follow up to the GH60 thing
The wait wasn't bad, I was expecting 5 months and that's how long it took. The wait will only suck if you're really nervous and impatient.
for a complete it was more like 8-10 months but ya he does deliver 8)

"Small" update. Converted from ISO to ANSI and Tai-hao orange fully applied.

It's finally here ......these 67g clears are super smooth. I really need to find a GMK/BSP Olivetti set to put on this as none of my key sets are going to cut it. Played around with the GUI a bit all in all very happy  :thumb:

everything was supposed to be gold but in person it looks a cool orange-ish shade. I actually really like it but its kind of hard to capture with my phone 8)

Sneaky reaper! The side/under glow always looks so perfect with GON boards, I'd have gotten one already if it wasn't for Orion... But these pics make me waver

OK so the switches are soldered but I still need to finish the LEDs and SIP sockets. I ended up going with 78g gateron clears with black cherry switch tops. I kept the gateron bottoms because they make the switch much much smoother.
