Blues, just because of the BlackWidow.

In reality, I think that Greens are the superior MX Switch, and they work fine for gaming once you get used to the weight.

Well for me greens are not really an option because of wrist injuries.

There are at least 10 polls about this kind of question in GH. Either brown or blue are the most voted answer.

The topic starter should create a poll for this for us to vote again.
Keyboard: Filco MJ1 104 brown, Filco MJ2 87 brown, Compaq MX11800, Noppoo Choc Brown/Blue/Red, IBM Model M 1996, CMStorm Quickfire Rapid Black

Yeah, I'm gonna go with blues, or possibly blacks. Blues because they're common and really hammers it home that it's a mechanical board, or blacks because they will be most similar to rubberdomes. Although that is considering the people who aren't keyboard enthusiasts, if you limit it to just keyboard nerds then I'm guessing you'll get different results.

Browns are up there. Then maybe Topre and then blues.

Clears are on a rise after everyone is realizing that light switches doesn't mean better.

Very large voting sample: http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/polls.php

Current #1: Brown MX
Fastest Gainer: Blue MX

People are buying slightly less Brown MX and significantly more Blue MX than they were 3 months ago.  Brown MX is still #1 though.

I'm suprised that nobody mentioned Reds, always thought that they were pretty popular for mainstream brands of keyboard here in Europe. But yeah Browns rule the market and then Blues, since they're the best to type on IMO.

are you kidding? this entire site is a clack and topre circlejerk!

the most common mech switch would've been BS years ago, it might still be due to private sector business. After that probably mx blacks.

Whites, with clears following, as of a year or two from now.
Now it's blues and browns, but people will learn.

I think that blues and blacks are the most popular switches for mechanical keyboards as of right now. Things will definitely change over time though.
