I've had a Filco TKL blue as my first mechanical keyboard for a few months now and have more or less loved it. However, I went to use my computer one mourning and found the switch under the 'q' key feels sticky. I don't distinctly remember spilling anything in it, but I do eat and drink at my computer occasionally, so that could be it.
It still registers with no problem, but It feels like the white part of the blue switch is not releasing, therefore not making a click, the tactile bump is very subdued and there is almost a 'sticky' resistance all the way down. Hence my belief that something has gotten into the switch.
Now the important part; how should I go about fixing this? As I understand it, it's very difficult to replace the switches on a plate mounted board so I'd like to know what you guys would suggest, or if replacement is necessary, the best way to go about it.
Thanks a lot for the help.
