I didn't think we'd see the Night Owl again, awesome! Also, didn't Melt just buy one of these for god knows how much? :D
Nah he got a Terminator.  I don't think I've ever seen a Night Owl before, who else owns one?

Ah, the photo looked very similar!

What's the 'depth' in 'depth black' all about? Is the shape of the key different in some way?

Don't think so... I think it's just deep black in color.

Only two different clacks this time... I wonder if they have a higher quantity then the ones in the last ek drawing, respectively if ek has overall the same quantity of clacks like last time or more/less

probably the same (6 ea)

Only 6 won the last EK drawing? The Depth Black, Oktoberfest, (Candy Corn too?) one?
6 each.

Well damn, didn't realize how lucky I was! Good luck to everyone entering!

I don't think Ek or CC ever tells anyone how many are made, so I don't know where you got the number 6 from

Here is my Nightowl.  Before this sale, it was the only one.  But now there will be more ppl who can join the Nightowl club.  :thumb:

There was a question about Depth Black, and Depth Black is the only black for skulls.  There are other names for black used for Clacks, but they are so rare  that I have never seen one (and I have seen a lot of Clacks).  There was Sinter Black, Pasties Black, Exxxon Black, and Stardust Black.  However, some Clack collectors have told me that there was only one color black ever made, even though it was called different names.  But only CC can confirm this for sure.  I don't know of any other blacks.

On Nightowl, the eyes are Revenge Red.  It is part of the "Bloodshot Series", the other members if the series are Mr. Friday, Terminator, Sacrifice (not shown), and if there are other members of the series, they are unknown to me.  AFAIK, Salute and OG Tricolor are not part of the Bloodshot Series.

Oh thank you so MUCH for clarifying that! I've always called them the red-eyed dual color Clacks but now I know they're called the Bloodshot Series. It's helpful to know because the Bloodshot Series is definitely my dream CC's along with the Jack O Lantern! I know getting my hands on a Mr. Friday, Jack O Lantern and Terminator are close to none :( Maybe this will be my chance to finally own one of my dream Clacks.

Also... that picture above makes me green-eyed with envy :P

So was this colour combination actually called a NightOwl previously?

Clacks are traded in PMs so often, I couldn't even think of the update maintenance on that. And that's even if people want to disclose that info.

Impossible Recreational Tasks # 3: Gather a full catalog of all Clack Factory keycaps that have ever been made, including correct name and current ownership.

Clacks are traded in PMs so often, I couldn't even think of the update maintenance on that. And that's even if people want to disclose that info.

Exactly - hence why it would be an impossible task.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I disagree. While maybe impossible to track their ownership, there are pictures of about everyone floating around and certainly very few, except those in CC's posession that have never been released nor seen. I am not saying private trading is not a big thing, it is, but simply that most are out there in picture form, somewhere. Personally, I think the difficulty would be assigning the proper name to some of the older single color skulls, without the help of CC himself. I have a couple I can't even identify.

Jusy my 2 cents,
John

It has been an absolute bear to try and make the Clack Wiki article accurate because of the sheer range of colors. If you've ever seen the list that CC has of all the colors he's made, it's absolutely bananas. One of the reasons I've been slacking on the update I owe is because of the lack of accurate information I have on colors. And it's been a pain to figure out how to tell people who don't have a clack and only have pictures, that hey, this is the shade its closest to.
