So many impatient people! Like, seriously, it's not the end of the world if you have to wait an extra week or two for something to show up/be available/be made/whatever! I've been seeing this more and more. Is this another symptom of the entitlement issues that seems so common amongst Gen Y and Millennials? Or is it just an internet thing? I've been on the internet for 20 years, but I don't remember it being bad until the last 5 or so.

This combined with the huge sense of entitlement many people have makes me want to be a hermit.

I've been Internet shopping since about 2004. At first I didn't care because I never tracked my stuff. Then, when I started buying more things and got used to tracking, I got impatient.
Now, though, I don't care much anymore. I tell myself, "A year from now, will I remember I had to wait an extra few days? Will I still even have what I waited for?"

I probably shouldn't be complaining about this, but the warm early afternoon sun tired me out and now I have no motivation to work after playing golf this morning.

Yikes. 80°F in freedom units today. Think that is around 26°C or 27°C for the rest of you.  :p

Hot for summer? Tack another 20°F+ on it for summer. I hate the cold, so no, I don't.

We were so close to being friends, whm.  :(  And yes, 80 is hot for summer (70 would be good, especially if it's not dry out).  100 would be death.

Humidity is a major factor. I've visited texas during the Summer and yes it's hard in the blaring sun but with little humidity it's bearable.

Oh.... Uh... Yes, I would love an actual winter is what I meant to say.

I think since I've lived in this stuff my entire life I just don't know how to function in the super cold. I remember a few winters back we had some 14°F days with single digit windchill at times. I almost died.

Sorry for the double post, too lazy to fix the last one after it was already finished. There is a rarely a day with no humidity in my area.

And I feel ya, you get used to what you deal with.  I know I couldn't handle the heat, and you southerners couldn't handle the cold.  It's all good.  Just fun to poke a bit from time to time.  :P

I visited Milwaukee in the summer a couple years ago and it was weird to me that it got a little cool in the evening. You can keep your winter, and I'll wear shorts whenever I want to.  :p

I'm sitting in the waiting room at the urgent care to get stitches taken out of my foot. I almost went ahead and took them out myself but thought "no, I'm being impatient, I should go to doc and get it done right."  Well now I've been waiting for 2 hours. Yep, should have just done it myself.
I'm back.

It generally gets "cold" (30s-40s) from December (sometimes November) to mid February. Many new homes down here don't have a fireplace though.

I can't do fires :(  The smoke makes me not breath and will stuff up my nose for a week.  I love sleeping with my windows open in the cold, but I can't do it when fires are going on since it makes me die.

Allergies, I think.  It could be asthma, I just know smoke and I are mortal enemies.  Same thing happens around smokers and cigarettes.
