Creating a thread (in the keyboards forum) about the random observations that really have nothing to do with Topre, just to glorify yourself/Topre and boost your post count.

If you start using Lego's in all your keyboard pictures, it will be official. Unfortunately there is no cure...

Topre is used in some video editing keyboards (sony, grass valley/EDIUS, etc). They are also (supposedly) used in aviation. Luckily for us, it seems Topre invented the airline industry. Topre also has metal cased keyboards. I think they must have invented that, too!

But enough about the ursurpers, Alphameric patented a rubberdome capacitive keyboard with NKRO in 1978. It feels better than topre, works better, had pbt dyesubs, etc.

Stop giving topre the credit, when Alphameric is the real champion here. IBM even copied the name, and had "alphameric" keyboard options for some terminals.

I guess I can grudgingly say they had short throw switches before Cherry's G84 series ML keyboards came out.

After seeing his quoted responses (as he seems to be banned) in the thread about Topre dome stiffening, I think that I've got a pretty good idea of what he ws like.

You should have been here when he was still active. His posts were great yet horrible at the same time...
