Oh. We're moving onto movies, then? What role did Topre play in defining and advancing the film industry?
Topre is used in some video editing keyboards (sony, grass valley/EDIUS, etc). They are also (supposedly) used in aviation.
Luckily for us, it seems Topre invented the airline industry. Topre also has metal cased keyboards.
I think they must have invented that, too!But enough about the ursurpers, Alphameric patented a rubberdome capacitive keyboard with NKRO in 1978. It feels better than topre, works better, had pbt dyesubs, etc.
Stop giving topre the credit, when Alphameric is the real champion here. IBM even copied the name, and had "alphameric" keyboard options for some terminals.
I guess I can grudgingly say they had short throw switches before Cherry's G84 series ML keyboards came out.
