No, this isn't a joke. I am going to attempt to buy a Clack Skull for it's given retail price, plus $10 (and shipping costs of course).

Let's see how this goes... bracing for incoming butthurt.

EDIT: After watching what a crapstorm this latest Clack sale has brought to the community, I feel like it would be best to make my intentions known...

If somebody does sell me a Clack, I plan to do one of two things with it:

1. Keep it and display it proudly on my keyboard (if Clack = MX and if Clack = perfect match).

-OR-

2. Offer to trade it for another Clack (if Clack = Topre or if Clack =/= perfect match).

I plan on keeping said potential Clack for a minimum of 1 month before doing a trade, and then will trade it to whomever is seeking my specific Clack. Upon receiving a new Clack, I will repeat continue this process until I find the perfect Clack for me (since there is no eHarmony for Clacks).

If I ever decide that I am going to leave Geekhack or simply no longer desire to keep my Clack, I will sell it for the EXACT PRICE I PAY FOR THE FIRST CLACK I BUY. So say I buy a Depth Black Skull for $28, I will sell whatever Clack I have at the time I decide to sell for the same $28.

There's a difference between paying approximately retail (and let's face it, it will cost whoever sells it another $2-6 to ship depending on how they ship it) for a Clack and trying to make an insane profit. If the Clack market topped out at $50 for a Clack, people wouldn't say a thing, even for those selling as soon as they get it. It's the people trying to sell for over $100 that gets to people, especially when those trying to do that auction it, solicit private bids, and so on, immediately after they win it in a raffle.
