i guess i should put this out there now just to be clear, im gonna keep the cutoff date on this firm for the 20th, so no late entries, i hate to not include people, but leaving it up for 10 days i think is plenty of time to see the thread, but it takes lots of organizing once its cutoff, and trying to fit additions in last time got very messy

It's mine today.  I'm grabbing lunch, then going shooting if the indoor range is open, then grabbing Thai food for dinner.  It will be a fun day.

id also like to invite some discussion as to what to do with my own name, last time i did this, i just popped myself in the draw like everyone else, so the person i got was at random, however i knew who it was

i am happy to do this again, i was also thinking about giving my address to someone, and then letting people work it out between them who or how gets me so i dont know, if people would like me to withdraw altogether i would also understand, or if people have some other ideas that is fine also

i wasn't a part of the last secret santa but, will there be a questionnaire of some sort? in another forum i was in the OP did a questionnaire where all people participating talked a little about themselves which helped out a TON when it came to picking gifts. this was a sneaker community so we had sneaker size, hat/shirt size, type of music you enjoyed or tv shows you watched. we didn't just center it around sneakers. if you want I can send you the email if i still have it. it also helps because you can just forward the elf's email to the santa.

if it is a public google doc, then you will be showing everyone each others address.  you could easily cross reference the return address (because its tracked) to your santa (no?).  If you set up a 'google form' instead and keep the results private, it may work better for collecting the data and keeping it a secret.
