Wow dude... Thats like one hell of luck winning 30 secs late, when most people send right on time having listed pretty much everything and get nothing. =(

I'm at least 30 hours late - do you think there's still a chance?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Haha, so I suggested Bro not tell people what they won in the invoice.  Then I get my invoice and it says "goods" lol.

Bro you crack me up!  Can't wait to open my little package (except I leave for a 2 week business trip on Tuesday )!

I was on my desktop and using Comcast/Xfinity Blast and just waited for the countdown to hit 0. I didn't try to send early. I've always had way better luck on the email sales than the raffles.

The purple BS V2 was my first pick, and my email timestamp was 16:00:00 exactly, and I still didn't get it or anything else on my list. :/ Lots of people getting second chance wins with two caps but alas even with all these MX caps being posted, which was the rest of my list pretty much, no love for me even on that. :<

doesn't seem like this sale was fully first come first served. Congrats lucky winners!

i dont think people realise quite how many people enter at the exact same second, or account for the time it takes for the email to arrive, especially given the amount coming in at once

also of note, is lets say your email arrives 5th, but what you select has already been taken in the first 4 emails, it doesnt matter if you are 5th, you get nothing but many people behind you can still get in who selected more choices

the key to sales like this is

select every option, and list them in preference order first to last
work out the delay between sending an email and it arriving to somewhere close in location to the person running the sale
send it to arrive exactly on the second of the sale
get very lucky because a ton of other people are doing exactly that

id also reccomend not using a hotmail account, as this seems to take much longer between clicking send, and it arriving

this stuff wont guarantee you entry, but not doing any of these steps, will drastically decrease your chances

Can I share this sad with you?

I sent my email half a second early (tried and true method), but it didn't "arrive" to Bro's inbox until 16:26.

Ontop of that, as mentioned in some previous posts, your email client will tell you the time the email was SENT not when it was RECIEVED. I sent at 16:20:00 and it got there at 16:20:03 so I very much got lucky with that (thank you blazing hot work connection).

Thanks for the pro-tips!

I think a lot of the people that missed out this time could have used these pointers  :p

But it is interesting (and most definitely a good thing for newcomers to these sales) to see people sending emails even 7-30 seconds late and getting caps over people that listed the same caps (mostly veterans) and got their emails in during the first second of the sale opening ;D

The more people who can enjoy Bro's art, the better!

both me and bro put a lot of work in to making these sales as fair as possible

bro even goes as far as makign sales and giveaways just for people that have never won before, and both me and him have also done sales jsut for people who have missed out on sales

what it comes down to is this, he cant possibly make as many caps as their is demand, there will always be some poeple who are dissapointed, as well as some people we can make very happy

you may miss out this time, but there will be more sales

One little tidbit I learned really quick here on GH. As bunny said there is a huge demand for these caps and alot of people trying to fill limited spots. A few of the elders here broke it down for me like this. Regardless of how the system works and how you stock the odds in your favor up the chances are you will not be selected way more than you will be selected(I was going to say lose or win but I don't think that's a good way of looking at it) so try find a reason to participate here on this site (and yes in these sales) that doesn't revolve around stacking caps. So I took that advice to heart and started digging thought the DiY sections new members threads, tried to introduce myself to the people here that are true enthusiasts and know alot about keyboards in general. Before I knew it I was checking the sale threads less and less and looking forward more to the connections I was forming with people here and what they were into. Now don't get me wrong i love these artisan caps. I Think almost everyone loves these but its more of a bonus level to me then the main quest ! I'm not trying to preach to anyone as I am pretty neutral here I just wanted to share how I dealt with those intense feelings of disappointment when I first noticed I would not be getting into every sale. (Side note even the sales you get into someone else is always going to get something better or more shiny. Its human nature ...grass is always greener over there blah blah 8) ) I hope this helps at least one person here and have a good day folks I have to go to work 8(

doesn't seem like this sale was fully first come first served.

Ahh, I see. I had this question also since my time stamp was pretty competitive to my other wins to date (16:20:00 -0700 (PDT)). Just shows how many fast entries there were, and perhaps I didn't choose enough caps!
Always appreciate catching some insight from you of details we may not know about.

Thanks for all the efforts, Bro Caps and Bunny :thumb:

The sale was at 16:20 bro  :(

Haha, that's what I meant.  I sent as the countdown timer ended. I apparently can't type early in the morning. XD What I mean was, got email out exactly on time but still no luck.
