You find out seconds after the sale ends, if you didn't win anything you don't receive an email.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

When do we find out if we got in? I submitted seconds after the sale went up and haven't heard anything yet.
All the invoice have already gone  out to my understanding so you would of gotten a email by now if you won something :/

No wonder, BECAUSE RAFFLES ARE ****ING STUPID!

Just stop it artisan cap makers. Stop, it's dumb, you're being dumb.

Why? Because games of luck for for the proletariat moron? Because I actually like to have a chance at winning? Because a raffle is far easier to cheat the system with?

**** that ****! **** that sale! ****ing **** ****!

I DIDN'T WIN SO IT SUCKS!

I didn't even realize it was a goddamn game of slots. Camping the site, submitting right away, all for nothing.

A little of both, but I do genuinely hate raffle systems though. I think they are unfair to people who make sacrifices to be where they should at the time they ought to, and generally lazy.

They both have their advantages and disadvantages. The raffles give a fair shot to everyone however there are way more entries. Email entries are horribly unfair for anyone out of the country due to latency on the emails but because of the time restraints far less people enter.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

And time-critical sales that sell out in the first 2 seconds are unfair to people who live in a different country to the originator.

Don't forget Malaysians. I'm so used to waiting but I still cringed at the shipping cost. The shipping cost is around USD$13; half the price of the caps.. one time I had two caps from different times arrived to me at the same time. It's twice the cost. And I wonder if I should use those Borderlinx or VPost proxy service instead - these guys will help store your stuff for 30 days, repack them and ship them at a go, so generally it saves shipping, especially if they are as small as a cap.

I think the raffle style is better, but the max. cap limit should be only one or two. 4 caps or even 5 is too much for one person, while others get nothing.

2 to 3 weeks from US to Australia is about normal.  When a sale or raffle ends, and US folks start getting their winning 2 or 3 DAYS later, I weep silently over my empty mailbox.

At moments like that I can understand when they complain when things take a week.

I know it won't be but I would love if the final bbv2 sale used the old email based first-come-first-served system. All the artisan sales lately have been raffles, I miss the tension of watching a countdown and trying to time my email just right!

I really wanted a gold cap.  :-[

Doesn't seem fair a guy walks away with 4 caps when he has a bunch already and others have 0. I thought these raffles prioritized people that have never won?

In the raffles, everyone is equal. However there are often giveaways, done by Bro and others, which prioritize people who haven't won.

Still just glad you got your stuff...I couldn't imagine that wait/uncertainty. And for me, it's consistently taken 3 weeks to get anything from china, and it takes 2 weeks to get anything from asia and europe outside of the uk.

I do get jealous of this, guy who already has loads of caps wins another 4 at once. Me sitting here entering 4 sales, getting nothing and never even getting to touch one of these beautiful creations.

We will all find solace some day.
Will we really Hoff? Will we find meaning to our lives?

Yes, young billnye.  Yes, we will.   ^-^

Hoff is just a lying circle.

Maybe if my santa delivers my package I can be happy ^-^

After nine(?) attempts at snagging some Bro Caps I finally won some!

White Walker GID and Northern Lights GID (Topre)

Don't give up guys!

This.

You might not get the colour or style you want today, but in 6 month's time you might be glad you saved your money to get a new colour, or a new design :)

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yeah he had super awesome ones for his Xmas sale. Perhaps you should go to his Christmas giveaway since he is giving priority to those who missed out and didn't win in his last sale and also if you do not own a Bro cap.
