ps: what did the "RESERVED" mean?

No idea, tbh it was reserved before I posted in that thread which is why I thought I was out of a chance... I guess bro had a list of people he wanted to get 'dibs' on them if they posted?

ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT

IS YOUR SALT LEVEL CURRENTLY AT A MAXIMUM?! ARE YOU BRO-LESS? DO YOU OWN A TOPRE MECHANISM KEYBOARD? DO YOU LIVE IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES ('MURICA!)? ARE YOU NOT AN ALT ACCOUNT? ARE YOU STILL READING THIS?!!!!

IF YOU ARE- WELL, IT'S G-G-G-G-GIVEAWAY TIME (because I won and you lost)

What is being given away:
Topre Liberal Blue V2 from the Independence Day 2014 Sale (BTC WAT R U DOIN?!)
Show Image

What you need to do to qualify for winning this great keycap:
  • must have participated in the random sack of stuff raffle, as well as at least two CtrlAlt raffles (cannot include the farewell auction), without winning any of them (screenshot proof of the Bros table from the CtrlAlt page required and i'll verify the raffle thread for your post)
  • must not own any Bro at all
  • must own a Topre keyboard (current date/GH name proof pic required)
  • must have a shipping address in CONUS (apologies international/HI/AK bros)
  • must intend to actually use the cap for more than a day
  • must not have won a cap from me before
  • don't pm me
  • cap is free, priority shipping is covered by me and the Bro will be shipped out same/next business day :thumb:
i think that's it. i don't care about age of your account/number of posts, the sale/ctrlalt requirement proves to me that you've been interested in bros for at least a few months, and that is what matters most. also running this out of the therapy thread again because i feel like it's more likely to go to someone that participates in the community than if it were done in a blatantly-titled giveaway thread that would attract everyone watching spy.

first person to post the two required proof pics here wins the cap (none of that "reserve post" nonsense either where you post first and then edit in the pics after), i'll edit this post once there's a winner. and this is mostly honor system stuff since i'm not affiliated with ctrlalt/bro in any way, so please just respect the rules.

also pls don't quote this post unless you hide it with the more code, it takes up a ****load of space. thxu.

1-2-3-go

Regardless of whether or not btc allows it, allowing for international entrants is a great offer! :thumb:

If no CONUS person claims it within the next 11 hours (so 24 hours since launch of giveaway), then I will acknowledge you as the winner and then ship the package first class mail sometime later this week. Be advised that once the package is handed off to USPS, it will no longer be my problem though.

In the future, please respect the rules I put forth, regardless of your feelings on them. My time and my money are my own to dictate, and because international orders require me to spend my leisure time doing something I find uncomfortable, I dictate that I do not volunteer my time dealing with them.

(So to be clear- the giveaway is still running for those eligible.)

If you would rather not ship internationally regardless then that isn't a problem - I just thought that since the offer was there that I might as well put down an entry.

No sir, I have said that if no 'muricans claim the cap by this time, then it is all yours  :thumb: so CONGRATULATIONS BOMBLE

I'll PM you for your details, but what I'm going to do this time is just drop it in the business mailbox tomorrow and then see if it angers my mailman (just kind of varies from PO to PO I've read). If it doesn't, then that'll open up my charitable endeavors to international participants in the future since I won't have to actually go down to the office and stand in line with all the plebs during my free time (not a fan of this) for first class international packages.

If you would rather not ship internationally regardless then that isn't a problem - I just thought that since the offer was there that I might as well put down an entry.

It's your cap, do what you like! :)

THIS CONCLUDES THIS EDITION OF THE BTC GIVEAWAY

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!  :D :D :D :D

Ahh, now I know why so many things are CONUS only. It's because of the standing in line.
My postal service is still in Ice Age. We have to stand in line even for local shipping. What I usually do is I go to the post office 20 minutes before they open, so I am always first in line. It's already an improvement over lining up for an iPhone, I always console myself.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

The one time I showed up "early" (20 minutes after scheduled lobby opening) there was a line of people waiting because none of the clerks hadn't bothered to show up to work yet, so this one is still kind of in the ice age too :P. Since then I've shifted my work hours though, making it more difficult to get into the post office at any time other than lunch/Saturday morning, which makes my mail situation "bad" because they mostly only run one clerk during those hours to service an area of ~30k people.

So yeah, I limit my giveaway type stuff to CONUS only because I'm under the impression for FC international packages I have to hand it to that one person. And I find it a waste of my own time to have to do that when I figure the domestic demand is going there (not sure what happened this time, gamburgers letting me down). Hopefully tomorrow that situation turns though and I'll be okay with including everyone in the future :thumb:

That Pharaoh is amazing!!! Great stuff you got there!

I LOVE black and gold combo. Now I need a gold fn to match the Bot nicely.
slurple incoming!
I know you are trying to be nice, but don't encourage this behavior. All raymogi is doing, is driving aftermarket prices up on artisan caps. We have had 2 people do this enough already, and that seems to have somewhat subsided. Let's not go back through that again.
