I talked with Samwisekoi and It seems the Nuclear GB won't start soon, so I can run the midnight SA.

These are the options:

1) All ROW 3
2) ROW 1 + ROW 1 + ROW 2 + ROW 3 + ROW 3 + ROW 3
3) ROW 1 + ROW 1 + ROW 2 + ROW 3 + ROW 4 (with ROW 3 mods) + ROW 3

which one would you prefer?

It will probably be more apparent once Penumbra ships and people begin testing it out on their keyboards. I believe Penumbra has all Row 3 alphas, which will be a departure from the ergonomic sculpted OEM / DCS / Cherry (but not new to people who use DSA).  All Row 3 for alphas would make it easier for different layouts.

Honestly I'm very tempted by option 2, but I may end up making it all row3 and add some kits for variable rows... (insane? yes, I am)

Well 3) is the option choosen by R5 and there will be more than enough.
2) is different and tempting.
But with 3) you can also offer international kits again.
Try to ask don't hurt...

I don't know enough about SA to make a decision on row sizes. What are the advantages/disadvantages of each option?

Fair enough. I'm a huge fan of this design though, so if you do end up running it in R3 SA or something that can be rearranged, I'm totally in for one.

Looks great.
Interested in all Row 3.
Model M Industrial, SSK, Unicomp 104, Code TKL MX Green, FC660M MX Green + Clear + White + Grey, FC660C Topre 45g, MagicForce 68 USB and Bluetooth, Whitefox, some optical switch 65% Bluetooth split spacebar thing ... wait, I think I need an intervention. Too late, there’s a couple of new Model Fs on the way.
Too much SA is never enough.

This is the only coherent layout we can have with current SP tooling, and I believe it has never been done.

The 'bottom' row is convex where as the others are concave, would that apply to all the mods or just the space bar?

No worries. For what its worth, i like this layout. But i think it would look really clean if they were all uniform Row 3.

So DCS won the poll, but this is being made in SA? Is the profile still being determined?

If the profile has been decided on, perhaps updating the OP would help new/lazy people like myself.

Sorry, I haven't read through this entire thread to figure out all the nuances.

Beautiful set though! The yellow highlights really pop, and those glow in the dark keys look great!

Looks amazing! I'm not sure if it would be practical, but could an alternate homing key pack be added to the SA options? I've always wanted a homing "s" and "t" for my Malt layout, and I'm sure others would probably appreciate an option for their Colemak/Dvorak.

A pack with a couple blanks would also be super nice to have for a few of those odd 1x ErgoDox keys that aren't alphanumeric.

I'm in for a base set and the ErgoDox set regardless (and probably some extras too).

Wouldn't have the S that I've always wanted, but I'd still be in for it if there's enough other interest.

Glad the blanks sound good! I can deal with miss-lettered alphas, but needing to use whatever spare caps to fill in the mods would drive me crazy.

Possible error/inconsistency: In the DSC set of modifiers, "Backspace" is one word, everywhere else is is two words, including the SA modifiers.

All-in-all, it's a pretty set and I look forward to it. First set of keycaps!

I haven't followed all the pages in this thread so please forgive me if it's been stated. Are the enter and escape legends supposed to be different colors? And I think I prefer "Insert" to "Ins".

And I've been waiting for this SA set for a while. Thank you for running it matt3o!

Nice Set Matt3o!!!
Can you make the " Moon Cap" in the same colour like the "Enter cap"
The "Yellow and the Black" is a good Mix ;)

PS:  The "Cursor Caps" are not Black Yellow? On the first page they are yellow.

btw "Nuclear GB"  ? what do you mean? The Toxic Group buy from BunnyLake?

It looks like the you're plan for the SA profile changed.

We're not going R3-R1-R2-R3-R3-R3?

Instead you're planning to offer two kits to let people choose between R3-R1-R2-R3-R4-R3  &  R3 for all

I like the option, but my only problem is with the implementation. The current plan means that if someone wants the variable rows, they have to also purchase the variable kit with the base kit with all of the same rows. That's a pretty expensive and wasteful proposition. Are we doing this to ensure that at least one kit gets sufficient orders?

Just get base kit and slant kit. That way everyone can be happy with the profile choices.

I'll push everything to Melissa next Monday, so presumably this should start really soon.

All-in-all, it's a pretty set and I look forward to it. First set of keycaps!

It's a Cherry replica font, that's exactly how it should read.

Yes, they are :)

Nobody supported my proposal so I went we the most requested feature (all ROW3) + one kit with other options. It's not very expensive actually, most of the keys are 1u, but of course you get a lot of spares. If you have ideas just let me know.

Yes, blue legends for a more boring look :)

And I was looking forward to a set with actual Row 4 keys on the bottom alphas.
