Since when do 2.5lb bags of keycaps fit in a small flat rate box? They're obviously not actually shipping in those.

The discussion here is also relevant, for those who haven't seen it yet.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Then why describe the shipping method as that? Change it to medium....

Sorry bro, most of the times they are that and tons of POS SA caps. I have two bags from the last two runs....do I regret it though? Naw, one day I will use them for some creative purpose.

Well they do come from "pimpmykeyboard" so it makes sense that the keycaps are straight G.

It's a big pity; I'm too far away to take advantage of this offer without incurring ridiculous shipping.

I won't ask any American to proxy this for me. Too much trouble for that poor guy.

Crap bags in the past have had around 1000 keycaps.

This time is slightly more, apparently.

So is there any chance to get any good keys in these things? I feel like if I got even just a couple double shot keys or something it would be worthwhile.

With that many keys you'd think there would be something.

"Good keys" means different things to different people.

A couple of double-shots :))  Like about 800 of them?

Have a look here for some indication of what people got in the last crap bag.

It would be cool with a world map in the OP of a new thread with clickable dots for all buyers and their locations. When clicking the dot you should be directed to the post where this user has one, and only one url / pic of their grab.
Then it would be easier to trade caps with people nearby and maybe get yourself a mighty fine looking keyboard / vomit creation. ;)

If anyone bought on of these Grab Bags, and they find Alps caps, please let me know? Maybe we can do a sale/trade?  I need more novelties for my Zero and future Alps boards. Last year I got this hilarious cap that said "yellow" but the cap was teal. :D

LOL I want caps like that.

If I get any alps, I will just send them to you. I might keep a couple, but you can have most  :thumb:

That would be lovely. I'm sure I can find some goodies to reciprocate ^__^. And I'll have to post pictures of some of the novelties I have in Alps form. The coolest one is an Orange on Black GH cap that SmallFry traded me :D.

Nothing in particular, was just hoping to replenish my dwindling collection of caps.

Guess I ordered 2 by mistake  :-\
I was wondering why shipping was so crazy. Still crazy. Just a little less crazy.

Good luck Noisy  ;D

I decided not to get one this time around, though I promised myself I would last summer. $60 shipped is a bit steep for me right now.

I hope everyone who gave in finds amazing stuff in theirs!
