Little update for you all who wanted switches other than what are offered.

They can't get MX White or MX Clears or other hard to obtain switches.  They also can't take your switches.  It'll take too long and the process will be complicated..

Sorry..

No problem, thanks for asking them Elton. So will our desired switch type be on the assembly form?

I can build one with someones own switches if they would like. I can't do everyones at once, but I'll do one at a discount and decide where to go from there. Send me a PM if interested.

I'll let you guys know whether they decide to produce more than 15 units next week..

Meanwhile you guys can still fill in the form to order one. :)

digi: Only switch types they offer are MX Red, Blue, Brown, and Black.

Cheaper than what it'll cost to get it assembled + shipped from America if you're Canadian :D

I may opt out for assembling but I'll wait until there's more of a final for everything, as I do want the clears, but I'll wait and see how I feel. :)

Can this be ordered without switches?  Assuming there will be 15 more?

My understanding is the default order doesn't include switches unless you get assembly service.

The Eagle and Viper won't be ready until May anyways. Or maybe longer if they decide to produce more lightsavers...

Some news..

TrueCustom designed a new PCB for the Lightsaver V2, so it'll take about a month longer to be ready.  Around end of May.

It'll support more layout options.  Also the 15 limit has been increased to 30.  Actually I have 30 sets ordered right now. :D Perfect if you guys plan on staying in.

Same here. Looks better than 1800 layout which is currently my second favorite layout to 75% (MX Mini). Will payment be through an invoice received via PayPal?

I know it's a dumb question. Can we swap the springs after soldering the switches to the pcb board? Do we have to desolder it?

I am pretty sure these, like most Korean plates besides LZ, will require you to desolder.

LightSaver plates don't allow easy switch removal.  Also means you have to insert them fully assembled too, prior to soldering.

Those are left-overs from the group buy (I know some people cancelled their orders).  Not surprising that they are more expensive, since Originative is an actual for-profit store.  I like the v1 case design more myself :)  I suspect it also has more aluminum by weight.

Originative is also not exactly super reliable. this thread has more information but spending that kind of money with them is very much a buyer beware situation

I ordered one from them a couple of days ago and it shipped within a day with tracking. So just my 5 cents that it seems to be functioning at the moment. But yeah, more expensive and V1... sadly  this GB ended so damn quickly.

This is also true for me I may need to ship it to a more reliable address just wondering when we pay if we can reconfirm shipping address? Might be moving into my new condo within a month, or it could be delayed. x.x
