Stream OVER - recording here! You can watch the recording of the first stream here:
https://plus.google.com/b/11446049560....
If you want to watch:The Stream is going to happen via a Google Hangout. You don't need a Google account if you only want to watch as far as I know. I will provide a link to the stream in this post.
If you want to ask questions:Google provides a Q&A tool which you can use to ask questions. Questions can also get upvoted. However for upvoting and asking questions you need a Google+ account, so make sure you have one or simply create one. Be aware that your Google+ name might show up.
If you want to talk on the stream:For now I want to limit these streams to about 5 persons, I think that is a good number and we will see how well it will work. Due the stream being more of a Q&A thing users that want to join should have their fair experience with mechanical keyboards. If you have questions, please ask them with the Q&A tool instead.
If you want to stream please fill out this form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1_T4oszkcac0LMSNrUZQu3QwXPrgAttZx5F6PMDyQ3TA/viewform?usp=send_formBe aware that Google Hangouts uses the users webcam and your Google+ name might show up. Please also read and obey these rules below.
Stream rules:Generally the forum rules apply to the stream as well. Behave well, don't insult people, don't rant, avoid using swearwords and everyone is going to be happy.
Any Questions? Please ask any questions that concern the stream in this thread.
Old OP:More
As some of you may have read there has been some interest in livestreams with Geekhackers to answer some questions and to have some fun. We can talk about modding or we can give you advice on certain things - whatever you want!
How we're going to do this:
We will do some group conversations via a service like Google Hangouts, there will be a small number of people joining this to avoid any chaotic conversations. People can ask questions via Google, the IRC or a similar method and the team will answer them on the stream. We can also maybe do some modding on stream if you want to see something particular and there is enough interest.
When this is going to happen:
If we want to do an international stream we will have to look out for timezones. Finding a suitable time will be difficult, but we can always do seperate streams for the US and Europe. The time difference between the US and Europe is around 6 hours, so late evening for Europe and afternoon for the US might be doable. Because of this the streams will be done only on weekends though.
How you can help:
Please register your interest for this here and also state if you live in the US or in Europe if your country is not already listed in your profile.
