Here we are now, entertain us.

https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=66270.0
“This isn’t the same Trump that got elected in 2016, he’s worse.”
“Something snapped in this guy — for real — when he lost in 2020,” Biden said, suggesting the former president was “unhinged” and was the driving force behind a mob of his supporters overrunning the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021."
“He can’t accept the fact that he lost, it’s literally driving him crazy,” Biden said.
He added that the former president “wants to terminate the Constitution” and “says if he loses there will be a bloodbath in America.”
“What kind of man is this?”  Biden asked. — June 3, 2024

What's your favorite ice cream flavor? If you didn't norcal, where would you call home? What's your favorite retro game console? Why do you not believe in the struggle? It's real you know.

What are your thoughts on the treatment of black Americans by the police?

Also, do you believe that the Apollo moon landing really happened?

Favorite ice cream has to be Haagen Daaz Coffee.. That stuff is amazing. But if I wasn't in Norcal I would definitely be in Manila, Philippines with my family. Also my favorite "retro" console is probably the dreamcast. Although it isn't even that retro... Im only 22 for christ sakes..

But I am extremely thankful that I haven't had much struggle in my life. I know the struggle is very real though for others..

All these recent cases of mistreatment is really a shame in my opinion. There is so much blown out of proportion by the media and so many facts that aren't released it can sometimes be hard to form an opinion. I try to always keep an open mind with others and never let others sway my own opinion. There is a lot that can be done to better improve race relations in the US but it is quite beyond me as to what will really fix the issue. One thing I really want to learn more about is actually the culture of african americans keeping their peers down. I forgot where I saw it but there was a nice short piece talking about how that is really the bane of their struggle..

Also yes I believe in the moon landing.  :thumb: I can't wait until we walk on mars!

Hmm biggest issue of western society... I think that the western world likes to stick its nose into everything and forces its culture and ideals too much.

The biggest issue in the world right now.. Hunger. We got enough damn food for everyone, but greed and logistics make it hard to share.

MBB is Molecular Biology and Biochemistry? I figure if I can get bioinformatics down I can be employed for life, as opposed to losing my job when someone figures out how to replace me in the lab.

Yeah, molecular-biology and biochemistry. I am unsure if I want to work in the lab or in sales or something, so I am doing some business, but bioinformatics seems to be the way to go. Do you think it is worth doing some schooling in computer science, or just learn it in my spare time?

Well do you have any lab experience so far? Sales is definitely a good way to go but only if you are a people person. I myself am more introverted so staying alone in the lab is totally cool with me. But I do think there is a lot of merit it taking some CS classes while you are still at school. I am trying to learn in my spare time and it can get a bit frustrating since at times there can be little guidance. Also being out of school, there is a lot less pressure to actually learn it since you aren't paying anything or receiving a grade haha. At least in my case.

I wish I worked there! They have an amazing campus with an awesome view overlooking the bay. But yeah there are tons of big bio companies out here and in San Diego. Ever heard of Illumina? They basically have a 90% market share on DNA sequencing technology... They got bank roll for dayzzzzzzzz.

Not a ton of lab experience yet. I have been doing some research with a prof, but that is about it. I am planning to do Co-op next summer. I have been working as a salesguy for the past few years in a bikeshop, so I know that I can do people-oriented jobs. Good call on taking a few classes, I will definitely look into it a bit more!

I accept all these answers. I too love coffee ice cream and the Dreamcast. You win one internet.

Okay, well here's the deal.  You were pretty bad at Wave Racer.   :-*   But you don't do racing games, so that's no big deal.  It's like me in a fighting game.  Or a console FPS.  But Mario Party was luck.  You'll have to come back and show me your skills on that front.  ;)

Fun.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

OP, why won't you go home if your work is done?
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
