Haha... the purple mods set... it was originally intended to be an adapter set in fun color to pair cheap white/black doubleshots to put on the GH60s... which I had at that time expected to been delivered around when the keys were.

In the beginning of January Dubs is visiting where I live and he is going to bring his color ring and we will discuss this gb further.

So far, the things that will for sure be in the group buy are:

Spacebar pack that includes beige 6.25 and 7, and black 6.25 and 7
A profile CODE key in white on lime green
~` and |\ to match Dolch and potentially more group buys

Please submit more suggestions and hopefully they can come to fruition!

I'm up for doing a buy for the matching keys for the base set.

I currently only care about Dolch, but I would buy other colors as well if it increased the chances of us getting them.

I was thinking maybe a bundle of Dolch, cyan and classic beige.

If the leaders of other upcoming gbs say they won't include the matching keys we can add those in also.

I think that's a great idea! This way there is a real chance it can reach MOQ 


Another idea I had was doing a GMK Purple Add On to make Ivan's 60% kit compatible for a fullsize board.

The kit should contain the `~ and |\, F5-F8, the Nav Cluster and the numpad mods in WhiteOnPurple plus purple spacebars!

The original GB had ~400 orders, so I think it's realistic that 250 of those are interested in this add on kit:

I don't think it's that realistic. While people do love purple, that's almost 60% of people who originally ordered. I'm having doubts about the success of a matching/add-on kit.

I'd tend to agree. Not to mention that was something like 2 years ago now, a ton of people who bought those sets aren't even around any more.

I agree it would be good to have new sets, but the thing is, when you do new, unusual stuff you can have a harder time reaching MOQ, especially so with GMK. It is also harder to come up with new designs with GMK because their range of colors is very limited.

I am looking for a balance between something that will be new and exciting, and something I think has a chance of meeting MOQ.

Sadly GMK does not have a catalog of legends available for customers. They only have the original 1980's physical inventory book which apparently is some massive thing. I kept trying to convince them to scan it and make it into a pdf or something but... for now you just have to ask them for something and they go and search for it.
I think most combination of white on X color, or X color on white should do well enough and most of them have not been done yet. The thing that would be nice about little packs is they can be a trial run to move onto full sets in some combination later. I think there are quite a few colorways that would be really nice, but often it seems people are not convinced it will look good until they have it in front of them.

One of the ideas I've been tossing around are white on lime, or white on the electruc blue (U5) color for mods. But EK has done those colors.

I definitely want to do something with U5 because it's an amazing color.

What might be cool if we can get costs reasonable, is to make an all inclusive mod pack like Ivan has on his GMK 85|15 set. That way it could be used with pretty much any other GMK alphas and we can mix and match

Oh definitely in standard color.  I only put the other key in the pic for scale.

And I assume that all the keys in this would be together in a single pack so everyone subsidizes eachother's keyboard fetishes.

I'm all for more GMK but we need people to work together or none of them will meet MOQ. At the moment we've got Feng's Cyan set, Ivan's beige set, the Olivetti set which will never hit MOQ, Ctrl Alt are bringing us GMK Hyperfuse and I'm sure there's another one that I'm forgetting.

Theres only so many GMK buyers here and they only have so much money to spend, having all these buys running at the same time will fragment the buyers horribly and make meeting MOQ a *****.

Sad thing is we've been waiting on Hyperfuse for months and it's still nowhere to be found.

Short answer is maybe. Long answer is Cherry used a number of different shades for their sets and then you've got yellowing to contend with as well.
