What texture will these keys have?

AFAIK SA profile has 3 options, glossy, semi-matte and matte.

Semi matte

Hey JD, when it says 7 days left... is the buy going to be open through the end of the day next friday, or does it close on Friday (the 13th?) I'm trying to get one more paycheck in before I purchase but I fully intend to get a set, so I want to make sure I don't miss it.

I'm not sure how the buy is coded to end on the site. If Bunny doesn't mind, leaving it open though end-of-day on Friday would probably be a good thing.

stripe money takes 7 days to clear in to my account, so i will be making the order with sp 7 days after tha buy ends, that means, that if anyone wants to order in that 7 days, and can pay via paypal, it is no problem at all

Something I think I have misunderstood. Does "contoured" reference this or does it reference the fact that the top of the cap is deeper than his contour?

Exactly! I need one for my jd40, one for my daily full size board and one for a 60% board.

Of course I've been using topre for over a week now so they'll just be wall decorations in my new 'office'.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Congratulations on joining this fine GB, by all accounts it should be a fantastic addition to your collection :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I knew you couldn't resist such lusciousness in caps  8) .

It's the ONLY decent key-cap profile made in the United States hence always go for the BEST in that country.

When it's Full-Contoured the shape is wondrous to behold and you can't keep your hands off it, this key-cap set will turn you into a major sex fiend  ::) .

Last few days, folks. You don't want to miss out on this one!

This set is going to be somewhat limited, looking at the numbers so far. If you want to pick up an extra, you could always sell it later, if you don't need it. No doubt these will be in high demand in the Classifieds after the buy is over.

Friday it's happening!

If we don't combine shipping, will Hack'd by Geeks ship sooner than GMKHF? I'm torn between saving some money by combining with Hyperfuse or getting my hands on Hack'd by Geeks faster...

Last few days, folks. You don't want to miss out on this one!

This set is going to be somewhat limited, looking at the numbers so far. If you want to pick up an extra, you could always sell it later, if you don't need it. No doubt these will be in high demand in the Classifieds after the buy is over.

The set is facing times of fierce competition.

That combined shipping, though...
Friday it's happening!

If we don't combine shipping, will Hack'd by Geeks ship sooner than GMKHF? I'm torn between saving some money by combining with Hyperfuse or getting my hands on Hack'd by Geeks faster...

i think they will end up getting made about the same time, gmk tend to be faster than SP, although ill have a better idea once the orders are placed, you can always combine, and then if one arrives earlier than the other and you want it sooner, just pay the extra shipping then
I'M IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING RIGHT NOW, WILL BE BACK AROUND SOON

I have never been so excited for a set before.

I'm almost tempted to buy another Novatouch and an extra set because that's how good Topre feels with SA...

man ive heard such good things about SA on topre, gahhhh, tough call, although i really shouldnt be buying keyboards again right now haha

You know you want to. Can't you hear the full contour SA keys calling out to you?

yeah i really thought gmk was the one until i randomly found some Filco SA's in tokyo for $40.
now i'm using my novatouch more than my hhkb

sigh i wish someone made topre sa keycaps so we would't have to do stem swaps (other than hi-pros which i kind of don't like because the top of the key feels really small for some reason)

I've never gone for a GB before but I'm definitely interested in this one. I'm just wondering if anyone knows from experience how long SP tends to take with production runs, because I don't have a clue about how long the wait period is

Typically 6-8 weeks for production.

it's random and often depends on what other group buys they have going on.
in my experience you will be waiting around 2 - 3 months but it could be longer if something special like the recent Granite R2 gb happens.

I think you could still update your new address. I'm not sure about it but ask JD.

Yes, you can update your shipping address at any time before the sets ship.
