Keyboard with AT/XT switch not working
« on: Thu, 08 January 2015, 11:21:19 »
Hey,

My keyboard which I just got (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Commodore_KPQ-E99YC) doesn't work on my computer. It has an AT/XT switch underneath and I have set it to AT, however when i connect it nothing happens. When I switch it to XT the capslock numlock lights are turned on. Could it be some driver issues?

EDIT: To clarify, the  interface is PS2, however the model number is the same. It's a compaq keyboard which is manufactured in 1992 and the model number is KPQ-E99YC

Thanks in advance

Are you using an active PS/2 adaptor?

I'm assuming you're connecting it to your computer through usb, in which case you would need something like this

Hey,

My mobo does have a PS/2 keyboard connector in the rear IO. And the keyboard itself has a PS2 connector. SO why can't I just connect the keyboard to the PS/2 port?
