I was actually pretty happy with this announcement. I had bought a MX clear CODE a while back but returned it because of the ping and weight of the switches. While those two issues were deal breakers, it otherwise had everything I could have asked for in a tenkeyless keyboard. When I had the clear switch one, I quite distinctly remember saying to myself, "This would be perfect if it had brown or red switches." And now here we are. I got mine yesterday, and absolutely love it. The backlighting is smooth and even, and it only pings if I'm holding the keyboard in my hand, so that's a non-issue.
After months of going back and forth with various keyboards, I might have found my new home daily driver.
