The Child Deals and base kits have been reformatted so that the base kits now fit a 60% keyboard, and there are two available to choose from - a katakana and hiragana base kit.
The Otaku Kiibodo is inspired by Japan.
The aesthetic is clean and minimalist, with a mix of modern and classic styling cues.
This set is geared mostly towards touch typists, since it has katakana characters for the alphanumeric keys. There will however be child deals for non-touch typists, with Latin characters.
These are currently the child deals that are being considered (please vote for them on Massdrop):

Hello! So I am actually a newcomer here - I have been following Geekhack and the other mechanical keyboard communities for a while, but I just now actually joined one (since I'm interested in building a custom keyboard soon). I have been making a keyset, and here it is:
DescriptionThe Otaku Keyboardu is inspired by a westernized view of Japan.
The aesthetic is clean and minimalist, with a mix of modern and classic styling cues.

The katakana set is geared toward touch typists - if they like the look of it, but I will also offer a set for people who dont fall into these categories. There will be a child deal which has Latin alphanumeric characters as well as legends for the Home cluster.

Otaku Keyboardu is in the Signature Plastics DSA keycap family. Keycaps will be Double-Shot ABS.
Features Doubleshot ABS
 DSA profile
 Colors: RDD, BBI, GGK, YBP
Planning to be produced by Signature Plastics
PlansI have submitted my design to Pimp My Keyboards for interest check, and would like to figure out what child deals people would want
My QuestionsAs far as actually getting to the Group Buy phase - I have not decided how to go about it yet. I would like this set to be accessible to obtain - and I have heard Pimp My Keyboard is not great to deal with in Europe from some posts on Deskthority. Massdrop seems like a nice option at this point. I would love to hear suggestions on this in particular (especially if you have experience with this)!
Also, I really like the novelty Katakana keyboard set, but would also like to offer the standard alphanumeric set as well. I would like to hear feedback on which of these sets or if both interest you!
Finally, I would like some suggestions on what child deals to include.
